God gave the prophet Daniel understanding of visions (the power to see or know something that hasn't happened yet, but is going to) and Daniel could tell people what their dreams meant. The king Darius liked Daniel and put him in charge of all his princes. The princes were jealous of Daniel, so they tricked the king into making a law that if anyone prayed to anyone but the king for 30 days, they would be thrown into the lion's den. They caught Daniel when he refused to stop praying to God, but God sent an angel to keep the lion's mouths shut. Daniel also saw visions of things that will happen in the End Times.
