BEING FALLING AWAY REALLY IS AND HOW FALLING AWAY CAN AFFECT YOUR
CHRISTIAN WALK. LET US SEEK AND FIND THE TRUTH OF FALLING AWAY TOGETHER, SHALL WE?
THE SECOND EPISTLE OF PAUL THE APOSTLE TO THE
THESSALONIANS
CHAPTER 2
Glad to have
you back again for more Daily Bread today! As you may recall, we were about
to find out what kind of false teaching was being rumored in Thessalonica.
Paul, naturally concerned about his sheep being exposed to false teachings
sets the record straight for them.
Now we ask you,
brethren, that you don’t be immediately upset or troubled, neither by
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, that the day of Christ is near (don’t
believe thoughts, what you hear or what you read). Don’t let anyone deceive
you in any way, because that day will not arrive unless there is a falling
away (people leaving the faith) first, and that man of sin (antichrist)
is revealed, the son of perdition (destruction, damnation, hell), who
opposes God and exalts (lifts) himself above all that is divine or that is
worshipped, so that he, pretending to be God, sits in the temple of God,
claiming to be God. Don’t you remember that when I was with you I told you
these things?
And now you know
what prevents him, so that he may be revealed in his time (
End
Times). For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now
letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then antichrist will
be revealed, who the Lord will slay with the Spirit of His mouth (the Word,
Jesus) and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming. Even him
(antichrist) whose coming will be after the working of satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders (seemingly miracles), and with all dishonesty of
unrighteousness in them (satan’s followers) that perish, because th ey
didn’t welcome the love of the TRUTH, so they could be saved.
And because of
this, God shall send them strong delusion so that they’ll believe a lie,
that they all might be damned (condemned) who didn’t believe the TRUTH, but
instead had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we’re sure to always give
thanks to God for you, beloved brethren of the Lord, because God has chosen
you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit
and belief of the TRUTH, to which He called you by our Gospel to the
obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So brethren, stand
firm, and hold (keep) the traditions that you’ve been taught, whether by
word or our letter. Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father,
who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and good hope through
Grace, comfort you
hearts, and strengthen you in every good word and work.
Well, we’ve definitely been seeing a falling away, at least in this
generation. If you study the End Times by reading The Book of Daniel, The
Revelation of Jesus Christ to St. John, and the Olivet Discourse, you’ll
find the things to be watching for to decide whether the end is near or not.
You can also study
Prepare 4 End Times, for detailed explanations of these things. It’s
very fascinating, and you’ll begin to understand more about the things that
are happening in the Mid-East and Europe, and even in our own country.
You’ll start to wonder who MYSTERY BABYLON really is. Is it America? Is it
Iraq? Is it Iran? Is it Rome? Europe? China? Japan? Is it more than one?
What about biometrics and all
the new ways of identifying people, and the quest for a universal monetary
system? Are these ways to get people used to these ideas so that
transferring over to a mark would seem normal and unsuspicious to people?
These are questions you might want to ask yourself before you sign anything
or have anything implanted in your hand or forehead. It’s all so modern and
technical, and people love the newness of things so much that they won’t
question the potential danger of things that are state of the art. Have you
heard that changing over to this method of things is for the public’s
safety? Hmmmmm, we just learned something about peace, when there really is
no peace in Chapter 5 of Paul’s first letter to Thessalonica. Friends,
safety is peace. Always look at everything from more than one point of view.
Be sure to come
back soon, and we’ll finish up our study of Paul’s second letter to the
Thessalonians together, right here at Daily Bread.
