If one imagines that just cuz they give money to a
"Qualified" Charitable Contribution, they will get the money
back at the end of the year ...
BEST THINK AGAIN ...
See, the Government gives a tax break IF the taxpayer gives
"authorized" Charitable Contributions to "Qualified"
Christian organizations.
BUT, if you are single, it must be at least $5000.00 per
year and at least $10,000.00 a year if you are a couple.
That is about $400.00 every month for the single folks and
$800.00 every month for the married folks, that one must
give to Charitable Contributions to get a tax break.
In addition ... It must be a
certain percentage of your total income, before you can even
consider doing this. DESPITE whether the place you gave the
Charitable Contribution to was deemed as "qualified" or not.
I am certain that 99% of the members here at Christianity
Oasis can not AFFORD to give $1000.00 a year in Charitable Contributions to ANY
organization and that only about 1% could ever imagine being
able to give the $5000.00 a year in
Charitable Contributions.
In short ... 99% of those that do give Charitable
Contributions to "qualified" organizations could not claim
it anyway.
I wonder if other "Qualified" organizations that promote
donations and promise these tax breaks if you give to THEIR
cause, ever mentioned that their members would have to give
$5000.00 a year if they are single and $10,000.00 a year if
they are married to get ANY kind of tax break and that is IF
the Government deems the CAUSE to be a "Qualified"
organization and IF they met other requirements ... Must be
in the fine print somewhere.
We had someone say ... Wow,
you guys must be raking in the money.
Seeing as tho we had a TOTAL of 45 members give last year,
and of course those 45 did not give each month, and less
than half of those gave $50.00 or more when they gave, you
can grasp the TRUTH that Jesus got less for what He does
here, than ANY one adult member made in the year 2007.
HOWEVER ... WE WOULD NOT TRADE
THOSE WHO GAVE TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE, FOR ALL THE MONEY IN
THE WORLD CUZ THEY DID IT OUT OF LOVE AND BELIEF IN THIS
MINISTRY ... NOT SEEKING TO REACH THE AMOUNT NEEDED TO GET A
LIL KICKBACK ON THEIR INVESTMENT.
