Guests Looking In

[Christianity Oasis]

During our renovation of the Christianity Oasis interactive area (Forum and Chat Room) we had to limit the access to new members. (This does not affect current or long term members) This is because there were no monitors (Those we have always called shepherds or overseers for the past 20 years) to keep an eye on the pasture while we made the extensive internal changes to protect the sheep in these trying times filled with wandering wolves.

However ... During this time, we have allowed new guests who find us through various search engines and/or by word of mouth to obtain a "read only" status without us having to register them as actual members. This means that these guests are able to read the posts within the forum but not respond to the posts. This includes the posts from members who are still posting. This is why you see the number of active guests, listed near the bottom of the forum page which looks like this example taken at the time of this post:

In total there are 58 users online :: 0 registered, 1 hidden (or bot) and 57 guests (based on users active over the past 30 minutes)

Not bad numbers when you do the monthly traffic math ... This is why you will see posts still being read while we worked and still work on the Oasis Interactive area. This "read only" procedure for guests has been quite effective for us to keep the sheep wandering around and grazing within the thousands of fields within the Oasis community, while waiting to enter the Interactive pasture, but many of these souls yearn to actually get into this interactive pasture to share thoughts as well.

We will be opening the gates to our interactive Christian pasture very slowly off and on as time passes, in particular when we have members willing to oversee the pasture again. As you can see, our Ministry has been blessed by our Heavenly Father. We are still receiving an abundant amount of traffic to our forum and those numbers do not include the 1500 people a day average who visit the thousands of Christian websites with Christian studies, counseling, crafts, books, activities and entertainment. In addition, many souls are still looking in and reading all that has been shared here (and is being shared here) in the interactive area. So, it's all good. We are answering our calling to bring in the sheep.
