"Who was it that temporarily lost his voice for doubting an angel concerning the birth of John the Baptist?"

That would be Zechariah in Luke 1

Luke 1
19 The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. 20 And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.” NIV

"What did Samson do with the lion he met on the way to Timnah?"

Judges 14:5-6. Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.

What was the source of Sampson's strength?

Hello Everyone *Wave*

God bless you this day.

Samson believed the source of his power was his long hair; however, the source of his power was The Holy Spirit.

Samson was vowed to The Lord from his inception, just as Samuel was, and the vow of a Nazarite incudes not cutting the hair, for however long the vow was vowed. (See Numbers 6:2-5, and Judges chapters 13-16.)

"Who wrote the Psalms?"

"In contrast to popular thinking, David did not write all of the psalms in the book of Psalms. In fact, Psalms includes more authors than any other book of the Bible. The following authors and the psalms attributed to them are listed below:

David (75 total psalms; 73 noted in Psalms; Psalm 2 is attributed to David in Acts 4:25; and Psalm 95 is attributed to David in Hebrews 4:7): 3—9; 11—41; 51—65; 68—70; 86; 101; 103; 108—110; 122; 124; 131; 133; 138—145

Asaph (and family) (12 psalms): 50; 73—83

The sons of Korah (11 psalms): 42; 44—49; 84—85; 87—88

Heman (1 psalm, with the sons of Korah): 88

Solomon (2 psalms): 72 and 127

Moses (1 psalm): 90

Ethan the Ezrahite (1 psalm): 89

Anonymous (the 48 remaining psalms)

Scholars also note that the psalms attributed to David may have originated or been associated with David but may have also included assistance from others. In total, at least eight authors are named, and other anonymous writers certainly would add to this total.

Interestingly, the Psalms were written over nearly a 1,000-year period ranging from the lifetime of Moses in the wilderness (1440—1400 BC) to Ezra (fourth century BC). Most psalms were composed during the lifetimes of David and Solomon.

The ancient nature of the psalm titles has often been questioned. Some have argued that the titles were added much later and should not be considered authentic. However, with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the twentieth century, copies of the Psalms from the first century have been found with the traditional author names included. The evidence points to the authentic nature of the traditional authorship of the Psalms.

Still today, Jews and Christians enjoy the Psalms, and many modern songs are based on them. The enduring work of these many songwriters continues to change lives and encourage us to worship God."

Holy Spirit! Yay!

Why did Jesus weep?
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

"Why did Jesus weep?"

"Two passages in the Gospels and one in the Epistles (Hebrews 5:7) teach that Jesus wept. In the Gospels our Lord wept as He looked on man’s misery, and both instances demonstrate our Lord’s (loving) human nature, His compassion for people, and the life He offers to those who believe. When Jesus wept, He showed all these things."

"John 11:1–45 concerns the death and resurrection of Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha and a friend of our Lord. Jesus wept (John 11:35) when He gathered with the sisters and others mourning Lazarus’s death. Jesus did not weep over the death itself since He knew Lazarus would soon be raised and ultimately spend eternity with Him in heaven. Yet He could not help but weep when confronted with the wailing and sobbing of Mary, Martha, and the other mourners (John 11:33). The original language indicates that our Lord wept “silent tears” or tears of compassion for His friends (Romans 12:15)."

Hello Everyone *Greet*

God bless you this day.

The only name I could verify was Andrew. Peter's brother Andrew, also a disciple of Christ, was first a disciple of John the Baptist. (See John 1:35-51).

What does the Bible say eventually happened to the bronze serpent on a pole that God had instructed Moses to make in Numbers 21:8? Is it stored somewhere?

Numbers 21:8 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

Hello Notforgotten :)

Hint: According to Bible scripture, King Hezekiah gave directives regarding the bronze serpent on a pole during his reign. See II Kings.

God bless you,

Thank you Mackenaw,

"What does the Bible say eventually happened to the bronze serpent on a pole that God had instructed Moses to make in Numbers 21:8? Is it stored somewhere?"

It was broke into pieces.

2 Kings 18:4. He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)

I like the overall story to the serpent on the pole because it reminds me of the life that Jesus gives us as we look upon Him. I believe that is mentioned in scripture as well.

Hello Everyone *Greet*

God bless you this day.

I Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4 through 8 explain what Love is. In some Bible versions, such as the King James version, the word Charity is used for Love, but it too is from the Greek Word "Agape" which is unconditional love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8King James Version (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
