Hello Mlg and Goldie *hug*

No, your are not driving me crazy. :)

We still have some glitches to work out, but it is awesome to share information -- even if it's just a temporary hiccup or glitch in the system. Sharing has a way of calming us, and letting us know we're not alone. :)

So far, I've not had a problem with the HOME button -- it's worked every time for me. So, please hang tight, and if after a couple days you are still experiencing problems with it, please let us know.

Don't forget to explore the UCP button at the top (it's on the same line as the HOME Button). It's the User Control Panel, and there are lots of Tabs and buttons to explore in there. :)

As far as whether or not we can share videos or links in Forums, I still have no definitive answer for you, but will check.

Don't forget to check out the BUZZ area -- it's right above the Forum Index, and it's the latest videos, photos and quotes shared by other members on their COOLspaces. COOL indeed.

Oh, and member: Wiz, has posted a wonderful post in this same Forum "COOL Support" for those that are experiencing problems in Chat. It seems some people, especially those with laptops, are experiencing stretched or skinny screen views in Chat. Thank you, Wiz, for your help. :)

Again, do not hesitate to let us know about any problems or share comments and/or any cool helpful hints that you may come upon. We're all in this together. We are family, got all my brothers and sisters with me. :)

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

The logging out glitch should be fixed now. Remember that if you are inactive on the forums for more than 1 hour you will be logged out automatically, chatting in the chat room or shout box does not count as forum activity either. Also, click the remember me button when logging in to stay logged in for good unless you clear your cookies.

As far as the new posts staying lit up thats not a glitch but a new feature. Used to be when you logged out all posts were set to read even if they werent, now it remembers which posts you read or didnt read in the database. You can click the mark forums read link to clear them if you like.

* View unanswered posts † View unread posts † View new posts † View active topics * Mark forums read

Those links are in between the forums and recent profile activity, they used to be on the old sanctuary page. The MCS pages all didnt get transferred and we will be adding them as we go along but we need to get the glitches ironed out first. No pages have been lost though ;)

Like Mack said the best way to get comfy with the new features is explore them and click all the buttons lol and asking in here as well.

Love you all and God bless *hug*

Ok so 1 hour of inactivity max...got ya

New posts stay lit unless cleared after each visit...ok makes mental note to do this before logging out each time :)

Still curious about attachments? Is this pictures from our computer? Looks to be...and they will upload into posts?

Mack, I checked out that UCP button but can't figure out how to click on my friends...shows me how to edit them etc. but can't pull them up from that tab for some reason...nor do I know where else to find them.

Not sure what the Usergroups tab is for under UCP...what is this and why do we need it?

As far as my COOL Space page...I assume it's not been uploaded yet...cuz there is nothing there but a page number. So, I'll wait on this.

Thanx for the answers you all have given so far.

Hey there's two pages to this thread. I clicked the little piece of paper by mlgs name and it took me to her last post on this thread.

Was wondering what happens if I click the report button on Phantoms posts? *BigGrin*

Hi mlg :)

Yes 1 hour inactive you are logged off unless you click the remember me, or sumthing like that, when you log in, then you wont have to log in each time.

Attachments are just like on yahoo or gmail. You can attach a photo or a document and things like that so people can either see them on your post and/or download it to their computer.

When you click your name or View your Profile at the top you will see your friends and are able to view them all by clicking the View all Friends link. To manage your friends go to UCP and then click on Friends tab. You can add, remove and or block any member. When adding a new friend you can either click Add Friend under their avatar when viewing their profile or add them form your friends tab where you can also send a message. When they approve you you will receive a PM saying so.

The Usergroups tab shows all the groups you belong too. Your default user group will have a check in the box next to it. You can switch your Default usergroup by ticking the box next to the one you want. Then your username color will change for that usergroup. You can check the Legend on the main page underneath the shoutbox.

We are still working on the MCS pages, not all of them were able to be transferred, we will have a link up soon where those who have made one can copy and paste what they had to the new one. Unfortunately this is the only way this can be done. But its just copy and paste not too bad lol

To access yours and to see if it was brought over. Click on UCP then the MCS pages tab. read and follow the instructions there. If you have one you will see the title. To have it activated turn the 0 into a 1. The link will then show up on your profile as well as your posts under your avatar. You can view, edit and add up to 5 different pages as well. Like the last one, some html and bb code knowledge would be good. MYspace layouts will not work on this one, as far as I know, but some good info on html and bb codes is listed here: viewtopic.php?f=110&t=10991

For those who want to create as MCS Page but do not know how, just start a thread in the Support forum and the good folks that are here will be glad to help anyone out :)

The My Cool Space tab on the UCP page is the new profile system. We feel it is much easier for all as you can post photos, link them to online location, videos, same thing just past the link like in chat room, upload photos from your computer with the photo album as well as create new albums or use your existing one, post links to site you would like to share, note the rules apply as the old MCS where no spamming or inappropriate sites are allowed, if not sure, ask. You can upload a status which will show under your avatar on posts as well as on your profile. No smilies will work just text and you can post your favorite quotes.

If you want to comment on anothers profile while viewing their profile, at the top left click the Send Comment button, this is like the old system where smilies, images, videos etc will work. You can also post feedback on others profile posts like a video or photo etc, the feedback does not allow smilies just text as well.

At the top of each page you have notifications of friend requests, comments and profile feedback. on profile feedback the numbers will not change until you click the mark all feedback read at the feedback page.

More info coming soon. Thanks for all the questions and answers here :)

Awww I found my friends Weee!

Yep Pine this is a learning experience for sure...change makes butterflies...so let's keep looking for the butterflies in our awesome new forums together huh? As we learn others learn too...Yippeee!

Ok so like the usergroups thing is confusing...I clicked on one called Women's group and it made me pink in the Legend...but I didn't see that it did anything else....did I miss something on the Usergroups?

Also, on my cool space, I found it and it's there, but I can view only one page when I click on my profile...not sure how to get to view all pages at once. Can someone click on me and see if they can see all my pages?

Thank you Phan and Mack for all your help.

luv ya'll
