Cubby can't get into chat *help*

Cubby can't get into chat *help*

My husband just got an apple IPad. It won't let him come into chat. It says he needs to down load flash player but when he tries it says his device does not support *help*

http://support.apple.com/manuals/ipad/ - Best of luck, really. Nothing with Apple is ever simple. I'll keep him in prayers. :D
