Step III

Ahh,
After a vacation and being away it felt good to get back to The Study. After engaging with people, places and things I might not normally engage with, I ended up feeling a bit "spiritually dumb." It was recommended to me that I pray and release anything unhelpful that I may have taken in/on during my trip. And I did so.

This study was about understanding the Gifts of the Spirit....I found my flesh battling a bit reminding me of the "wound" that says things like:

"He STILL hasn't told you what He wants to do with you?"
"The study says you just have to ask the Holy Spirit to show you what your "niche" is but you've been praying all these years and He STILL hasn't told you what that is....

These are doubts born of selfishness perhaps ? Not sure. But certainly not thoughts from the Lord or His Holy Spirit.

The truth is I am hungry for God. I am hungry for a greater wisdom. I am hungry to be used for His Kingdom....I am hungry to find my place of service in His Kingdom. The Father will see to it in due time that this hunger will be satisfied.

Praise the Lord and Glory to our wonderful Savior.

God Bless You All

Hi Dear Jamie,

You, and often many other Christian's ask that same question in their spiritual walk with the Lord. As have I. We have such a zeal for serving God that we want to 'know' what gift He's given us to make a difference for the kingdom.

But did you ever think that perhaps He has already given you a gift? One that you don't even recognize as a gift because you are looking for something you can put our finger on and say, "That's it!" Hahahaha Does that make sense?

I am going to use myself as an example, because it is easier to talk about what God has shown, me. I am a servant and a soldier in God's Army. And yet I have often asked, "Lord, what more can I do for you? What gift have you given me to bring glory to you?" While all along, it was already there. Interesting how the world says, "Seeing is believing" , but God says, "No! You don't have to "see" it for it to be there. Have faith that I am already doing a good work in you." It was already there. It was so much a part of me, that I could not see it until it was revealed to me.

I minister to people daily, been doing it online for years. Never thought twice about it because I enjoy feeding those who are hungry, hurting and so on. One day, I received an email from a young lady who wrote and said, "Thank you so much for your answer. It was exactly the spiritual answer I was looking for in dealing with my mother..." I was "shocked!" I had posted that message three years earlier for someone else.

God revealed to me right then and there my gift. I sat and cried and said, "Oh God, you've been using me all along when I didn't recognize it because it's like breathing ...'natural.' I couldn't 'see' it, but there it was. You use me in the background and yet I am ministering to MILLIONS through the internet and never even realized it. Forgive me." God doesn't use everyone in the forefront dear one, nor do I think He always reveals things to us when 'we' want. Hahaha. Often the greatest piece of equipment is the one that cannot be seen. :)

You too, are a minister of the Word. Look at the difference you make as well as others do in the chat room. It brings honor and glory to our Lord Jesus. Even when we think that we don't seem to do much...just planting a (mustard) seed is a big deal to God. :) It is being obedient.

You are a blessing and a wonderful servant to our Lord. Thank you for being who you are in Christ Jesus. A willing vessel. Perhaps God will reveal to you what your gift is, but regardless, you are making a ...difference. :) And that should bring joy to you! A Happy! Happy! Happy...heart! *Clap* Hahahaha

Tender blessings,
