My Time to Let Jesus Shine

Postby PeterJames » Sat Nov 16, 2013 3:59 pm

It is 3:51 pm, November 16, 2013 - and I am making a conscious decision to turn away from my old lifestyle. What lifestyle is that?

Looking for friendship from the world, from wordly women, craving for attention, etc. I have a fake gmail account where I have been talking to various women on and off the past few weeks. But it is wrong, and I feel my Lord and Savior calling me to turn completely to Him. And seek friendship from Him.

There are some tears in my eyes, but I must turn away from all my wickedness and turn to Jesus. I would appreciate any encouragement from anybody as I tend to get lonely and isolated quickly; but I am making this decision to follow Him completely no matter the cost. I want Him more than anything, even though I don't see how in the world I will survive without this.

I just did it; deleted all that garbage. But I feel sad and lonely again. Please Jesus; if I can't have an imtimate relationship with women on the internet which I know is wrong, can I at least have an imtimate relationship with You? - Peter James

Peterjames,

You've made a step in the right direction. Repentance is like making a U-turn; we repent of that which is contrary to God's word and choose to follow Him and His way. God will not reject or leave your desire for intimacy with Him unfulfilled - if that is what you truly desire. The more you seek Him and His ways, which is through the Cross of Christ, your desire to follow Him will increase. As you look to and keep your faith in the completed work of Jesus on the Cross, the Holy Spirit will provide the power to bring victory in your life. Keep pursuing Him and His Word. Recommit your love and faithfulness to your wife and your marriage. Peace

JulieAnn - Thank you for your encouraging words. Like circumcision, when God removes the layers of sin around our heart, we have a painful separation. I do, I really do want to know Christ more intimately in His resurrection. :)
