Two working together

Postby Mackenaw » Fri Sep 05, 2008 2:08 pm

Hello Everyone,

God's blessings to all.

I'm so excited about this Forum -- even the name of it. Marriage is always under construction, because the participants are always under construction also -- if we are seeking God.

And the two shall become one flesh. One flesh, not one spirit. But as Ecclesiastes 4 states: (9) Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. (10) For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. (11) Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? (12) And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

This flesh/carnal man we all have; however, can become so offensive -- and the saying "familiarity breeds contempt" can become a way of life. So how do we overcome? By putting God first. Yeah! Thank You Jesus.

Thank you for setting the tone and atmosphere for God's Word to be shared.

God bless you.
Love,
Mack

marriage and divorce

Postby donnasarah » Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:16 am

this is donna. i can understand that my husband wanted a divorce. i didn't understand.. now i understand the whole picture.. his kids were full of angers with their father for neglecting his kids with me alone for many months. i understand their angers.. i realized that i had those angers becuse NO one believes me..
i was angry toward people and his kids for lying..
i understand that i am wrong about my angers.. god showed me so much about my angers.. i let all my angers to god..
and let god work in my hsuband's heart.. he felt guily about negecting his kids and told me to move out.. i said ok i respect you and i moved out becuse i love him..
i tried everything i can help his kids with their angers.. i told my hsuband that he needs to spend time with kids. he threw fits.
so he wants a divorce becuse he is tired of fighting kids with me. but he doesn't understand their feelings. i prayed the kids and him have good relationship together..
did i do wrong??

hi donnasarah

Wow what a hard situation this is for you and your family.
Turning it over to God and trusting His guidance is your best and only choice for peace.
Seems there is a lot for your husband, kids and you to work out. Anger does a lot to destroy lives and that is what satan loves to do, destroy our lives.

I hope your marriage does not end in divorce, maybe this separation for a short time so your husband can work things out with his kids. But I hope he wants you to come back so that his kids can see a united Godly partnership willing to work out a compromise within the second family structure.

Pray for your husband all the time, and his kids to draw understanding about the love and life he desires to have with you.

Lord Jesus please bring a peace to these circumstances. Bless donnasarah with a loving patient attitude. Allow her husband's kids to see she is not wanting to hinder the fathers relationship with his kids, but she desires to build one with her husband and his kids for the future. Whatever lies that have been told, bring truth out in the open. Let forgiveness happen. Bless this family Lord. Amen.

Take care donnasarah...please let us know how you are doing so we may know how to pray for you. *hug*
