Greetings fellow Christians ...

We receive hundreds of letters a day from those who have been led by our Lord to the various studies and/or programs within the Oasis community and many of those letters are about those who are experiencing problems in their marriage/relationship.

This suggests that many of those within the interactive aspect of the Oasis community (Forums and Chat Room) are also experiencing problems within their marriage/relationship.

There are also those who have escaped an unrighteous relationship/marriage and have past experience as a guide.

There are also those considering getting into a relationship/marriage and need advice.

Then again there are those who are in a great marriage/relationship and/or have learned how to overcome problems within their marriage/relationship, meaning that they possess a secret recipe to success, which they should choose to share with others.

Sooooooo ...

I would like to ask that you share ONE word that best describes your marriage/relationship that you are/were in and perhaps we can use this as to break the ice and begin this process.

You ARE your brother's and sister's keeper.

Luv all of ya

I dont speak for O, but to me an unrighteous marriage would be one where there is some type of abuse, or one where the partner was forced into marriage against their will (which does indeed happen in many cultures) or even a marriage where one partner is constantly unfaithful to the other without remorse or repentance, etc etc

un·right·eous
adj.
1. Not righteous; wicked.
2. Not right or fair; unjust.

Hello Oasis and Everyone,

Oh wow, Oasis, just one word? Just so happens that I'm a woman of few words. rofl

Well, I would have to go with "hope." Hubby goes back and forth on his choice -- he says either "trust" or "hope."

Hubby and I had fun discussing this question today. We tossed around many words.

God bless you all.
Love,
Mack

My word is .. PATIENCE

The dictionary says this.....the quality of patience, is the bearing of provocation, annoyance, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper or irritation...an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance.

It is the quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; in securing your composure, stability, self-possession; sufferance.
Patience, endurance, fortitude, stoicism imply qualities of calmness, stability, and persistent courage in trying circumstances.

Fortitude implies not only patience but courage and strength of character in the midst of hardship.
Endurance denotes the ability to bear exertion or suffering.

Marriage is daily loving and caring towards someone and giving them what you would also like to have given to you... PATIENCE.
After all God is SO patient with us the least we can do is be that way to someone we are married to.

Very cool responses ...

Tho I am not married, I am engaged to the Lord, so I will share my one word on our relationship.

GRACE

I absolutely adore knowing if and when I mess up that He will forgive me when I repent.

I believe that this is an essential aspect of any relationship.

I believe that if husbands and wives would forgive easier ... It would save many marriages.

Luv all of ya

Cubbys word is: Awesome

I wanted to say ever changing but that's two words. ;)

Sooooooooooooo I'mma say Forever as that is the word I had inscribed on the inside of his wedding ring.

Yeah I know I can't keep him as my spouse through eternity but I can keep him as mine through this life.
