Lost

Postby Lostinthought » Wed Oct 07, 2020 5:18 pm

Hello world and all who inhabit it,

This is my stone 1 day and I wanted to share my thoughts about my journey today. I was molested as a child by my older brother to say I feel like a stumbling block in my own way to my happiness would be the understatement of the century. I know God has forgiven me for my wrongs but I have not...I look at myself and see a hypocrite. My past is FULL of lies, cheating, premarital relations and pain, from pain I have caused others or others have caused me. I struggle to forgive those who have hurt me and find anger building in behind my openly “calm” exterior. I want so badly to go home to Heaven I am tired of riding all the waves into the rocks over and over again. I find it so hard in a world filled with sin and evil to find my bearings.....I feel lost....

Hello Lostinthought,

God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

I read your post and will be responding tonight. I have a few chores I need to complete first. I'm praying for you.

Hold on tight -- there is actually peace to be found.

God bless and keep you,
Mack (sister in Christ)

Hello Lostinthought,

God bless you this day.

I'm so glad you were led to the CCCC (COOL Confidential Christian Counseling) Study. Fifteen years ago, I first entered this site with similar sentiments. I, too, was so unhappy -- both with life in general and with all the evil that I could see in myself and in others -- resulting in the overwhelming feeling of being lost and wanting out.

I wondered if I was going to find plastic people and plastic truth. I doubted everything. I desired to find true Truth -- if that makes sense. I am happy to report I found Him. My relationship with The Lord grew leaps and bounds, and continues to this day. I finally see purpose in true life in Christ. And, I "feel" His love, and I can honestly say that I love The Lord with all my being. And as the sweet hymn, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" says "What He's done for others, He'll do for you."

His Word -- The Bible is the best meal (bread) you'll ever dine on. Ask The Lord to give you a passion for reading His Word. That's what I did, and wowza, did He answer my prayer.

Continue on with the study, and meditate on the scriptures in each stepping stone.

You'll be in my prayers to our Lord, in the name of Jesus. God The Father's will be done.

God bless and keep you, Lostinthought,
Mack

Hello Venus2302,

God bless you this day.

I just finished responding to your post in the Marriage Forum. I am glad to see that you have been posting in the Christian Counseling Forum.

The 14 Day Counseling Study, here on this site, leans heavily on God's Word. Jesus is The Word, and He is our Healer and Saviour. The Study helps us understand how to apply God's Word to our individual lives. It is just how God works -- His Word is the bread of life for us. Learning how to grow in your relationship with God The Father, God The Son/Jesus, and God The Holy Spirit takes time, and the 14 Day Counseling Study will help get you started. It will also help you as you accept fully that God has forgiven you and that Jesus's bloodshed covers all your sins.

Once you begin walking by faith and not by sight, and learn to fully accept your forgiveness, you will begin to feel better.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (New International Version)
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

If you have any questions, please advise.

Prayers are rising to The Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. God The Father's will be done.

God bless and keep you,
Sister Mack

Hello JudyCambell,

God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

Yes, humans can be annoying. And, being that you and I are both humans, whoops...we are included in that statement. lol

Good news is, that your new found desire to grow closer to God, is your first step in learning that God (God The Father, God The Son / Jesus, and God The Holy Spirit) can and will teach you how to resist quarreling, resist the temptations to act out, and help you to activate self-control.

From the little bit that you shared with us, I would not be the least surprised if it turns out you are highly sensitive spiritually -- meaning you pick up on spiritual vibes that other people and spirits give off. I am also spiritually sensitive. It is actually a gift from God, but until we learn to use that gift for God's intended purposes, it can sometimes feel like a burden.

I encourage you to begin reading some of the studies on this site. All the studies are incorporate scripture into the study. The studies have help hundreds (if not thousands) of people just like you and me to grow in our relationships with God, and help us to be happier, healthier while learning our purpose for being here and how to navigate through this life here on earth and beyond.

Here is a link the an entire list of studies: https://www.christianityoasis.com/keywo ... tudies.htm

Please scroll down through the list of Titles listed, and when and if a subject title seems interesting to you, just click on it and the study will appear.

If I may suggest a study for you to begin reading, I suggest you begin by reading about Grace -- God's Grace. Here is the link: https://www.christianityoasis.com/keyword/grace.htm

JudyCambell, if you have any questions, you can post them and I will try to assist you in finding the answer(s).

Prayers are rising to The Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. May God The Father's will be done.

God bless and keep you,
Sister Mack
