New Beginning

I've been through Christian Counseling before and found it helpful but have decided to take a friend's advice and do it again. Last time I did my journaling privately, but will use this forum in an effort to "humbly submit to the program step by step exactly as presented". Doing things my own way hasn't worked in the past and I want success. I want to know and serve God more than I want your respect and admiration. I desire to understand what it means to abide in Christ. All the striving has exhausted me and left a whirlwind wake of half-finished, good-intentioned projects behind me.
