What's Your Bottom Line?

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

What's Your Bottom Line?

Hello Christianity Oasis, All...

*hug*

Blessings!

Greetings in the name of the Lord.

One thing Christianity is missing is a bottom line. That disappeared the moment church leaders post 100 AD began speculating about what that is on every matter pertaining to the church of our Lord. Talk about blind...simply incredible that the Apostolic heart that loved Jesus and His Doctrine could be lost in such a short time. But once we begin to question those that wrote the New Testament and gave witness to the Spirit of God we are soon lost...not my word, but the Apostle John's. He said this in his second epistle.

2John1

[3] Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
[4] I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
[5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
[6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
[7] For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
[8] Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
[9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Eph.4 [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Please note that we become lost when we get away from our Lords's Words first given to the Apostles, the Christian's bottom line...life line actually... Please note that John is in agreement with Paul there...Paul said that a person preaching a gospel different than his should be cursed. John says that those preaching a different doctrine than Christ are transgressors so much so we should not eat with them or wish them well. I realize that there are a super abundant number of those that call themselves Christians today that do not abide in the doctrine of Christ. Why? Well, they have learned that the doctrine of Christ means something entirely different than what is plainly written for us to see. Of course many of those would say that I am the one in danger of hell fire because many new things have been discovered about the doctrine of Christ and His Apostles and I am just an ignorant old hayseed. I am the one that is blind and they are the one's that are enlightened. Woe to those that call evil good and good evil...

But for any of those that pervert the doctrine of Christ I would say this. What I know of the doctrine of Christ did not come to me via the teachings of man, they came to me directly from God, God Himself bearing witness to His own Words first given to our Lord Jesus who then passed them onto His Apostles, who in turn, through and by God have given them to us that believe...and not by revelation only...but through experience, such experiences also bearing witness to the truthfulness of the doctrine of Christ.

Yes, I have the Mind of Christ in my soul day in and day out 24/7. As it has been written Christ has given us His Spirit and we have the witness in ourselves...self is our soul...and it is buy the Spirit of God/Truth/Comforter/Holy Ghost that we grow up into all things of our Lord through our faith in Him and His Words and His magnificent grace to us. That is the bottom line!

I attempted to explain the doctrine of Christ to a theologian quite a while back and he said he was a skeptic because he had not received those bottom line experiences that come with faith in God and the love of His Words. Well why had't he received any of them? He stopped abiding in the doctrine of Christ and got off into the questions and presumptions theologians make about the existence of God and if He exists what He is like...well forget about that nonsense and abide in the doctrine of Christ...that is the bottom line...the Word of God is the bottom line.

The Apostles continued in the doctrine of our Lord and it was in their abiding that the Spirit of God grew them up in His Words to the point where they had the mind of Christ and were blessed to meet the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...that is the bottom line...abide in the doctrine of Christ and you will get to know the Father...He is the origin of and the pure and perfect essence of all that is or ever has been perfect love...that is the bottom line...let the Spirit of God grow you up in Him as you continue forever to abide in the bottom line of God, the doctrine of Christ, even that we walk in truth and love one another.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.

Too bad there is not more of the Doctrine of Jesus taught. Everything else but it seemed. I guess where their treasure is, there their heart will be, as it is written.
