The Real Possibilities of Revolution in America

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

The Real Possibilities of Revolution in America

Hi All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Was sitting among family members one evening watching the Glen Beck program. The topic came up about the real possibility that such a division in philosophy is appearing among those of the left, ( new world order and all that implies), and those of the right, rightly understanding the truth of our constitution, and the true Christian spiritual nature of our founding fathers, Christ guiding them to found our nation on Him, that an all out physical and spiritual fighting second revolutionary war could break out here in America.

One of my family members said, "well, I am not going to do anything one way or the other. I am just going to sit here."

Another said, "I am not going to do anything physically, but I am going to do everything I can spiritually."

A few scriptures popped into my head. I will get to them shortly, but have to say here, that man, we, as the body of Christ Jesus, are absolutely NOT ready for anything like what, in all probability, is going to bring on this nation a trial of faith like nothing else.

I was listening to testimonies about healings and financial blessings and the furtherance of the Gospel of our Lord on the 700 Club this morning. That ministry is such a blessing on this old love starved planet. But many of us here in America have only seen the blessing side of our God. Many of us have quite literally never known anything but the richness of our Lord's blessing on our lives.

We have never had to submit ourselves to the death of the cross. We have never had to take up our cross, or bear anything resembling a cross in our lives. We have never had to render our body a living sacrifice which is our reasonable service to the Lord. We have never been as a grain of corn dying to itself in order to bear much fruit. We have never been faced with imprisonment or lashes or fines or death or loss of family or homes for our Lord's sake and the Gospels.

So I say, what happens to us if confronted with making a real commitment of our total lives to God? Ouch! I say ouch for many of us because we are not ready for such a commitment. We have not ever made such a commitment, indeed we have never thought such our reasonable service in the Lord. All our lives we have lived doing as we wish, never thinking to ourselves if it be God's will I shall do this or that. Yes, things have been far too easy for us!

Most of us have never suffered persecution. We have never lived godly enough or such would have been our lot. Many of us gag over the thought our walk with God might cost us more than just a little money. And indeed it hasn't! Thus the problem and the reason for this post. For Jesus has something to say to us about our day. He has told us ahead of time how things will be.

Matt.24

1. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Matt: 13

[18] Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
[19] When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
[20] But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
[21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

[22] He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
[23] But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

John.12

1. [24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Rev.6

1. [11] And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

We stand humbled before the Word of God. So many before us either fought and died in the wars to keep this country in the hands of God fearing, godly men. And so many of the faith have died joyfully offering up their lives to the glory of God.

So I say to you today, where do you stand? Are you on the left or the right? Or are you just sitting on the couch? I think it best we be seeking our Heavenly Father for His will be done in our lives, not ours.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
