John 6:25-29

John 6:

[26] Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
[27] Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
[28] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
[30] They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Not long after I became a born again Spirit filled tongue talking Christian crying "daddy" (abba), Father, with a fierce hunger for the Word of God I came upon John 6:29. I must admit that way back then I didn't and probably wasn't capable of understanding the entire quoted package above. By that I mean the Holy Spirit didn't open the eyes of my understanding at that time to see that not only had those Jews witnessed the miracles Jesus did in feeding the multitude including them, but shortly afterward asked Him to show them a sign so they might believe on Him...incredible the depth of the blindness and ignorance in some people...Jesus said of them, (Matt.13:13), Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. But the Holy Spirit did open my eyes to see what my job was from that time onward, to believe on Him (our Lord Jesus) God did send.

As the Apostle Peter declared of us also, (1Pet.2:9), But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Yes, we are sanctified, set apart for the work of the Lord under the authority of the Holy Ghost! The work we do is the Work of God on the Earth, believing on Him who God has sent!

As I woke up this morning I heard the devil scream...and why not? Having worked 40 years to wreak havoc in a person's life, to make every effort to ruin, steal from, kill, make sick, bind, banish, plunder, depress, cast down, ship wreck, and destroy, and one discovers, much to its dismay, the individual is stronger, mightier, more enlightened, stronger than ever, and more dedicated that ever to a life serving the Almighty God, more filled with the Spirit, more dedicated to obey Him, even stronger in the Lord and the power of His might, a scream would be most appropriate. Way back in the day, not long after I was given life in the Lord, I was praying in the Spirit with groanings which cannot be uttered and praising the Lord before bedtime. Then, much to my surprise, just as I closed my eyes to sleep, a witch from the area put her hands around my neck and squeezed. Fine! I say bring it on, Satan! For once again it shall be said of us that those that have turned the world upside down have come here also!!!

This week's prayer: Pulling down the stronghold of Covid!

Please pray this prayer with me. You principalities, you powers, you rulers of the darkness of this world, you spiritual wickedness in high places, we come against you in the authority of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone has all power in Heaven and in Earth, and demand that all your works of evil wherein you have been sent to cause many of our world to be smitten, made sick, killed, and destroyed through the pandemic of Covid in all of its various forms, we do bind you all in the Mighty Name of Jesus, and loose you from your assignments, commanding you to immediately cease and desist in your maneuvers and manipulations against all the people of the world who you seek to kill, steal from, and destroy through the pandemic of Covid. We cancel all of your assignments and loose the armies of God to enforce our demands against you!
