Chat room programs

Use to be a program had a host and then at least one other person designated to help in the room.

This other person would monitor the room. If someone needed counseling they'd pm them, if someone was determined to disrupt the room they dealt with them, when someone came in the room they'd say hi and share what the room was about. Such as, "Hi _____, We are praying for _____ right now." or "Hello ______, _______ is hosting and we are discussing ________ right now."

It brought about unity and bonding as well as took some pressure off the host so he/she could focus more on the message they were trying to give.

We don't have that anymore and I miss it.
Not sure if it's something we can get back or if it's just not needed anymore.

A program doesn't belong to the host, but to God and serving the host by helping him/her monitor the room is indeed serving God.

Just felt like sharing that.

I remember that...and sometimes you'd have a different person. Maybe if someone would like some help in a program, they could message and ask someone in the room to be a greeter and helper before they start. Just a thought.

I get so busy I forget to ask for help.

Ok maybe I can't blame it all on being busy. Maybe it's due to my brain size.

Anyhow good idea. Also if someone feels led to help the host they could ask the host or just jump in greeting.

Yes I agree...there are times I like to go to the programs to help the hosts especially if they are a new host as it boosts their confidence a lot.

WOW! I remember that also.
Where did it go? It was awesome and really helped build a bone. Kinda like a co host. They know what is going on from week to week in the room and would be able to step up if the host wasn't there.

Soooooooooooooooo, are there any who feel led to get this going agin?

We need to enhance the existing programs and fill a few empty spaces as well.

The new members really need these chat programs.

There are many people who are called to do this, but don't even come into this forum.

ya know something just occured to me... is someone in charge of the program lineup? should people be told to contact one particular person or do they contact the host of the program???? Just a thought.
