My Body....my business

Awww GBU sis and ty for sharing, I too, have been there many times and know the hurt that comes from wanting my own way. I have been struggling which was the reason for this forum, hoping that together as one body in Christ, which is wat the church IS, that we help each other to become that temple. We are all gonna sin. I sin everyday maybe not always in actions, sometimes in thoughts, but God knows that and loves us anyways, and He has special plans for us and u my sis, have a special role. Why do I believe that? Cuz the Bible says so! I would like to share some verses with you to show you.

Jeremiah 29:11(NKJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them

We all make up a part of the temple, Jesus being the cornerstone Ephesians 2:19-22 (NKJV) Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you are also being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

My wonderful sister, we all fall short, we all sin, but we get back up. U see, you are a part of God's church, called and chosen. Sometimes we get discouraged, but God is never out of reach and is always with us no matter what we do. We have to remember that when we fall that God isnt finished with us yet. So, we get back up!!!! Thank you so much for sharing and your courage. Honesty is an awesome virtue ! and I hope together we can learn to be more God's temple and less ourselves, cuz we have been bought and paid for by Jesus blood. And you are so precious and needed. God wants you with Him, He knows we aren't perfect. He doesnt expect us to be. We come to Him as filthy rags, He loves us enough that He doesn't leave us that way. Don't give up sis. Have perseverance, knowing that God loves you and will finish the good work He has begun in you!

Awww bless ur heart sis i think its a process of continually turning over things to Him. Some things we are better at turning over to Him than others, its so awesome, i just see this as an ongoing process for us all. We will all fall short, never give up tho! Cuz then the enemy wins. Jesus loves us and even with all our shortcomings, He still chose to die for us that we might live forever with Him. He knows everything about us. And you know wat? I think its ok. He loves us and hopefully as we grow, we learn more about Him and how to lead our lives in such a way that represents Him.. Bless u sis i think part of us being afraid is because of negatives in our past, depending upon others to fulfill our needs and them not measuring up or in some cases hurting us worse which makes it scary to turn it over. I can totally relate. But God wants only the good and righteous things for us. So, regardless of how many times i mess up and i get scared about stuff beyond my control or even sometimes things within my control, there is a peace that comes from knowing that God loves me, and so i just keep trying sis. And i think thats prolly all any of us mere humans can do, is to just keep trying to live as Jesus would want us to.
