maintaining hope

Renewing our minds daily in Christ helps us to control our emotions and lead a more productive life in Christ instead of being swept away in the whirlwind of emotions this life can throw at us daily.

maintaining hope

Postby sdunfee » Sun May 26, 2013 6:20 pm

I have been in communication with my ex boyfriend since he broke up with me. I have always held on to hope that we would eventually get back together. However, he recently told me he had decided to start dating another girl. This really hurt and confused me since I felt we were starting to have a good connection again. We had such a good connection when we first met and I loved the time that I got to spend with him and his two boys. Their mother died when they were only two and four and I immedietly felt like a mother figure toward them. Although things ocassionally got hard for me because being a mother was a brand new experience for me, I still enjoyed every opportunity to be a mother toward them. My ex has told me that he does not want to start over with me simply because of a bad experience in the past where he did reconcile with an ex girlfriend. I have tried to convince him that this no reason to try it again with me. I am so confused because I still feel that this relationship is meant to be. I feel that everytime I pray, that GOD is telling him to not give up, to wait and still maintain hope. I try to still maintain hope for this relationship but it is very hard now with the revelation that my ex has started dating again. Prayers for me, him, and his two boys would greatly be appreciated.

Hello Sdunfee :)

God bless you this day and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

I will be lifting you up in prayer to our Lord in the name of Jesus that you'll receive, understand and fully embrace The Lord's guidance and that you'll have blessed peace of mind and heart concerning the confusing trial you are going through. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, Sdunfee.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Hi,
I know how you feel as I have experienced this in the past.
First........FEELINGS are not facts.
Emotions can overwhelm us and we are subject to do or think the wrong way.
The good news...........
Trust in our LORD and HE will provide you the one for you.
Time heals.
Let God's will be done and not our own. (This is for me too. ;) )
I hope this helps and KNOW that God wants the best for you.
Allow HIM to work.
May peace abide within.

GBU
