healing for damaged emotions

this is a series of scriptures that lead to healing damaged emotions. Hide them in your heart by reading them to yourself, then follow with the prayer that is after them.Meditate on them, and may they bless you as you diligently seek Him.

Psalm 32:5......Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, "I will confess
my transgressions to the LORD "
and you forgave
the guilt of my sin.
Selah

1st John 1:9......If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Deuteronomy 30:19......This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

Psalm 139:13,14......For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Ephesians 2:10.....For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

2nd Timothy 1:7.....For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Isaiah 54:4...."Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

Isaiah 61:3....and provide for those who grieve in Zion
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

Ephesians 5:19.....Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,

Romans 4:24, 25..........but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Isaiah 61:1.....The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,

Mark 11:25.....And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

Hebrews 13: 5, 6.......Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"

Proverbs 20:27......The lamp of the LORD searches the spirit of a man
it searches out his inmost being.

John 16:13......But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Romans 8:18.....I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Isaiah 53:5..... But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed

Romans 5:3-5......Not only so, but we[a] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Ready to pray for your damaged emotions? This is a serious prayer for those who want to overcome hurts, disappointments, and shame. It is taken from the scriptures we have been discussing. Put your heart into it..... Here we go:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you with feelings of shame and emotional hurt. I confess my transgressions to You until I have told you everything. You are faithful to cleanse me and forgive me of all unrighteousness.

Lord, You are my hiding place in times of trouble. You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. I have chosen Life! According to your Word, you knew me while I was being formed in my mother's womb....and by the Authority of Your Word, I am wonderfully made.

I am Your handiwork, I am recreated in Christ! Father, You delivered me from the spirit of fear, I will not be ashamed, confounded, or depressed. You have given me beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

I am a tree of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that You might be glorified. I speak out in psalms, hymns, and spiritual song, offering praise with my voice, making melody with my heart to the LORD. Just as David did in 1 Samuel 30:6, I encourage myself inthe Lord.

Father, You annoited Jesus and sent Him to bind up and heal my broken heart, set me free from the shame of my youth and my imperfect caretakers. In the name of Jesus, I forgive anyone who has wronged me in any way.

You will not leave me without support as I finish the forgiveness process.I take comfort in You and confidently say, "The Lord is my helper, what can man do to me?"

The Holy Spirit leads me into all the truth. When reality brings shame and emotional pain, I remember that the sufferings of this world are nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed to me, in me and around me.

With the stripes that wounded Jesus I am healed from damaged emotions. As Your child, Father, I have a joyful, confident hope of eternal salvation. This hope will never disappoint, shame or lie to me, for God's love has been poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit who was given to me. In His name I pray, amen!
"My future's so bright, I gotta wear shades." (Timbuk 3)

Hello Kimberly,

What an awesome message -- the scriptures are, as always, perfect. And that prayer, Wow!

God is so Good. His Word shines like a beacon when you share. Awesome. and in the words of a song from my childhood, you fly with The Holy Spirit.

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

When troubles surround us, when evils come
The body grows weak (body grows weak)
The spirit grows numb (spirit grows numb)
When these things beset us, He doesn't forget us
He sends down His love (sends down His love)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

When Noah had drifted on the flood many days
He searched for land (he searched for land)
In various ways (various ways)
Troubles, he had some but wasn't forgotten
He sent him His love (sent him His love)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)
