Postby saint701 » Sun May 31, 2009 2:51 pm

Hi all of you, peculiar cool Christians..just an idea..how about a prayer resource center, where all kinds of prayers are posted for all of our special needs. Here is one for today for wisdom..James 1:3

Just sending around love prayers for the Father and His Family. Smiles, Dennis.

Loving Father, in Jesus precious name we do pray this day, through your Word, James 3:17, asking for your wisdom, the wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good works of the Spirit of your grace, without being partial, without hypocrisy, to be at peace, to make peace, to be full of peace and love. In Jesus name we believe we have your wisdom this day. Amen and amen.

Prayer for a Sister and brother from here who sis passed ...

Postby JCsmediator » Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:24 am

Like to lift a sister on here that just lost her baby sister last night our Sister Heather and her brother Jacob ... ty all keep them lifted in ur prayers for we all know when a loved one passes into the other world we know the pain for us here how much that loved one will be missed and cherished...
Cherished in the hearts of Heath and Jacob and all who knew her and all of us here that have been praying and care ...

Like to share a lil story of a Man who once shared and cares so very much for us ...
This One who understands ur pain and has taken on all sin and death in our place so that we could have Hope this Hope of seeing them again ...
this Hope of Eternal life thru this one...

Jesus Christ the Messiah... The Prince of Peace Savior and Lord The King of Kings The Lord of lords ... The Lion of Judah The Lamb of God who took away the Sins of the World!!!

The Word that Became Flesh...
To show us we were not forgotton or with out Hope...

John 1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WHAT IS GOD'S GRACE
For those that can hear ... I will reveal to you the TRUTH of God's Grace today, and the TRUTH is this ...
God sacrificed His only Son to get His children into Heaven.
Think about that for a second ...
God sacrificed His ONLY SON to get YOU into Heaven
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
But, why did God CHOOSE to sacrifice His Son?
It is very simple ... Because God loves us so very much and mankind had done so much bad, that all the sacrificing in the world would not cleanse away the sin. See, long ago, sacrifices were needed to cleanse away the sins that mankind had committed against God. But now ... Jesus is the eternal Sacrifice. Believing in Jesus, cleanses away OUR past sins. God loved us so much, that even knowing the only sacrifice that would suffice, was His own Son ... He decided to do it anyway as to save His children.
One more thing to ponder on ...
Jesus Himself CHOSE to lay down His life for YOU.
The Bible is CLEAR ...
The first step that you have to do to get into Heaven is ...
Believe in Jesus
John 6:28-29
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
SELF PROCLAIMED
RELIGIOUS LEADERS
There are a few Self proclaimed, Christian leaders, that have written to me, suggesting that LAW and WORKS prevails over God's Grace and say that I should preach LAW and WORKS and these rascals demand that the burden on Christians is to be heavy, so that it makes it difficult to enter the gates of Heaven. These individuals have no compassion, understanding or love for others, in their heart. They have no concept of the love God has for His children. Their desire for self edification, blinds them from the TRUTH.
My answer to these "wanna be" Religious leader's demands for me to teach LAW and WORKS instead of God's Grace is and will ALWAYS be ...
Not A Chance !!!
The Apostles learned from the Holy Spirit that the Jewish customs and some of the Jewish Laws were NOT to be placed upon the Gentiles (Anyone who is not Jewish)
As well they should not be under the Old Covenant as God has made a NEW COVENANT and that is why it is said that the Holy Spirit directed this:
Acts 15:28-29
It seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to require no more burden than these necessary things, that you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if you keep yourselves, you'll do well.
In short if you are not Jewish ... YOU are a GENTILE. You are not BOUND to JEWISH customs of the Old Covenant.
John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but GRACE and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we are bound under the NEW COVENANT (New Testament) not the Old Covenant just as our Father said He has broken the Old Covenant.
Zechariah 11:10-13
And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD. And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
The Old Covenant ended when Jesus died and Judas Iscariot and the Religious leaders weighed His price for 30 pieces of silver and they crucified our Lord and He died for our sins. The NEW COVENANT then began. So many fail to see this TRUTH and prefer to teach LAW and WORKS as the way to enter Heaven instead of God's LOVE and GRACE by sacrificing His Son as our ONLY way in.
Now, make no mistake my friend ...
BY NO MEANS IS GODS GRACE A
"GET OUT OF HELL FREE" CARD.
YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR
ACTIONS AFTER YOU RECEIVE GOD'S GRACE.
God's Grace reveals that if you TRULY believe in Jesus and the TRUTH that He was willing to die for you, and did, that you would know that He loves you so much that you will want to do what He wants you to do because you would know that He is looking out for your best interests. You will try hard not to do things that would make him ashamed or disappointed in you. You may fall, but always remember that only a worm is free from the worry of stumble and the real test is to see if you will get up, dust yourself off, carry on and never surrender.
SAINTS ... ARE JUST THE SINNERS
THAT FALL DOWN AND GET UP !!!
As time passes, you will find that you begin to make the right choices, out of love ... Not fear of punishment.
It will be your FAITH that establishes your WORKS
HERE IS THE TRUTH ...
Galatians 2:21
I do not frustrate the Grace of God. For if righteousness comes by the LAW ... Then Christ is dead in vain.
Eph. 2:8-9
For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
In TRUTH ... It was some Self proclaimed Religious leaders, back in Jesus' day, that were constantly following Jesus around quoting LAW. His responses were so compelling that they ran away in fear and confusion. They became so afraid of losing their high places, that they devised a plan and had JESUS crucified ... They used LAWS to do it. They claimed they were doing a God service.
John 16:2-3
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
THEY WERE WRONG !!!
But, God had a plan and His Will ... Was done.
Jesus said it best, when the Self proclaimed Religious leaders of that time brought a woman before Jesus, to be judged for a sin that she had committed. They asked Jesus what should be done to her, knowing that the LAW said that she should be stoned to death ...
JESUS SAID...
John 8:7
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
So, If you are one of the "holier than thou" teachers of LAW and elect to judge the lost, which are potential Christians ... Beware, lest you find yourself being judged, as you have judged these lost souls, and YOU losing God's Grace
Many Christians and even some Churches, judge other people by the clothes they wear, length of hair, which side of town they live on, the color of their skin, past experiences and mistakes they have made, etc ...
It is very sad that these individuals, who consider themselves to be better than another of God's children (even though, they know in their hearts that they were also forgiven of their sins of the past, and received God's Grace and still sin) and that these people would find it necessary to judge another, in some vain attempt to appear to uplift themselves.
Pretending to be doing a God service.
Their view makes the Cross, of no effect.
God sacrificed His only Son to get His children into Heaven.
Now, tell me ... Do you think for a moment that our loving God is sitting up there saying to His children, "If you so much as make a mistake, I will put you in the depths of Hell" ... After, He let His son die a painful death to get His children into Heaven?
Of course not ...
THIS REMINDS ME OF A STORY
There was a man, that we will call Mr. Smith, who was sitting in Church with his wife. He had just dozed off, during the pastor's sermon, when he awoke to the sound of the collection plate coming around. He watched as the people next to him put in what they could afford, which was very little. When the collection plate reached him, he cleared his throat very loud, as to gain the attention of all those around him, and put a hundred dollar bill into the collection plate. When Church was over, he was edging his way through the crowd towards the front door and saw a statue of Jesus. He thought to himself, "he needs a haircut and a shave" ...
On the way to his favorite restaurant for brunch, he came upon a stoplight and saw one of THOSE people. You know, the ones with a sign that says "will work for food" ... This guy had long hair, a beard and very dirty, worn out clothing. As he came to a stop, Mr. Smith rolled up the electric windows in his new Cadillac and turned his head away from the poor looking man, who was now just outside his window, with his hand stretched out towards Mr. Smith. After what seemed like forever, to Mr. Smith, the stoplight turned green. Before Mr. Smith pulled off, he rolled down the window and yelled out, "Hey, ya bum ... get a job" and then sped off laughing.
A few years later, Mr. Smith died of cancer and ended up at God's Judgment seat. Jesus asked Mr. Smith why it was that he thought he was worthy to get into Heaven. Mr. Smith said proudly that he donated a hundred dollars every time his wife could drag him to Church. Jesus asked if that was the only reason and Mr. Smith said, "Yes, of course, I have paid for my way into Heaven" ...
Jesus looked at Mr. Smith and said ... "I disagree ... You failed to have compassion and love for your fellow man, when the opportunity arose. You are greedy and selfish and are not worthy to enter Heaven." Mr. Smith, convicted by Jesus' Words, turned and started walking away with his head hung low. Then Jesus said ... "And, by the way Mr. Smith ... I am no bum and I DO have a JOB."
THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS ECHOED THROUGH THE ENTIRE BIBLE
Matthew 25:40
What you do unto the least of my brethren, you do unto Me
Hebrews 13:2
Be kind to strangers, it could be an Angel testing you
LAW VERSUS GOD'S GRACE
I have been told by many of the lost souls, that I encounter, that some Christians and even some Christian leaders, make it very difficult for those who would become Christians to do so because they elect to preach LAW to the potential Christian instead of God's Grace by saying such things as "If you have ever done this or that, you are damned."
Matthew 23:13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
For example ... If a potential Christian had ever divorced their spouse, stolen anything, abused drugs, had sex out of marriage, smoked, cussed or anything else one can think of ... It somehow makes these Self appointed, "holier than thou" teachers of law, feel that they have the right to find the potential Christian unworthy of God's Grace and to pass judgment. This causes the potential Christian to walk away and never consider becoming a Christian again.
My friend ... If any of this has ever happened to you, do not let it prevent you from receiving God's Grace which is
FREE to EVERYONE.
When you truly believe in Jesus, God forgives your past sins ... PERIOD !!!
LOST LOVE AND FAITH
Now, there are many people that were Christians and have stopped believing in God, because something really bad happened. Perhaps they suffered from ... LOST LOVE. For example, they lose a friend or family member to divorce or death. They decide to blame God or say, if there is a God, why would He allow this to happen. I want you to know that I TRULY feel your pain, for I have lost that which was most dear to me, but I also know this ... Christians encounter tribulation and trials just like everybody else, and to stop believing in God, will not explain away the loss.
Sometimes these things are allowed to happen for a reason, that we do not understand.
Isaiah 57:1-2
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness
Reasons that we cannot even fathom. I have found that nine times out of ten, it was caused by negligence or a decision made on mankind's part.
Understand this TRUTH ...
Every day, each of us makes choices that has the capability to affect others. Whether the choice be good or bad. God allows mankind to make their own decisions because He does not want puppets. He allows us free will. The other one out of ten is what I call the test or trial factor. See the book of Job I have no idea why God allows certain things to happen, but regardless of why, it is His Will and perhaps one day we will understand why certain things were allowed to happen.
Until then ... We must trust HIM.
HOLY SPIRIT
I will now reveal an awesome SECRET.
Christians have been given a gift to defend themselves in times of trial or tribulation. It is called the ... Holy Spirit.
He is a gift, left here to comfort us John 16:7
He will speak to you, if you will listen Hebrews 3:7
He will help you during your trials and tribulations.
John 14:16-21 John 14:26 John 15:26-27 John 16:13-14
He is here to help you face the trials and tribulations that come upon every man, woman and child on Earth.
HE IS HERE FOR YOU !!!
SUMMARY
It all comes down to a choice. The choice is yours. Nobody can make it for you. You can either deny this TRUTH and be cast into the Lake of Fire ... FOREVER.
OR
BELIEVE IN JESUS, WHO DIED FOR US
And live FOREVER in Heaven.
EITHER WAY ...
Forever is a LONNNNNNNG Time
Some people ask, but what if all this is just a bunch of superstition or fairy tales. I ask you this ...
What if it is not?
Be wise ... CHOOSE JESUS
Now I ask you ... What do you have to lose by just believing in Jesus? It sounds like a tiny investment for great returns.
He is the best eternal life insurance policy, money can't buy.
I want you to think about something. I will gain no fame or fortune by your decision to make the right choice of believing in Jesus. In fact, I most likely do not even know you and never will, at least on Earth. And yet, I take the time and effort to share this TRUTH with you today for you to consider and ponder upon. The reason for this is ...
It is the TRUTH
Sooooooooooooo, to answer the original question ...
This is my "Doctrine" ...
This is my "denomination" ...
What I believe in, is ...
GOD'S GRACE
Through our Lord Jesus Christ
He died for us, was resurrected
and is coming back for us.
I ... like those before me, am but a fisherman.
I catch them and God cleans them.
Take care and may our Father bless you and yours.
Sincerely,
Servant of God
A love prayer for all named in need of prayer in this forum
Postby saint701 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 11:29 am
Heavenly Father, we just praise your name today, worship you, and give you glory. Father, we love and adore you. We thank you, Lord, that you are the "Great Shepherd of the Sheep," and that you lovingly and longingly look after all those named here, that you are mindful of any that have strayed, and will go after them; That you will carry them into your sheepfold, and make every provision for their comfort and safety.
You will make them to lie down in the green pastures of your Kingdom, and lead them by the still, pure, and living waters that flow out of the heart of your living word, refreshing them with the mists of your perfect love.
You will restore their souls with your precious, kind, and comforting words, and lead them in the righteous truth that your words are always life and health to their entire being, touching their hearts with love and peace and joy.
And yes, Father, even though these have been through the valley of the shadow of death, you have always been with them, removed fear from them, and comforted them with the warming affection of your loving Spirit, who always leads them and guides them to be filled with all the fullness of your presence within them.
That you have even prepared a table of understanding and wisdom in the presence of their enemies, anointed them with the mighty power of your Spirit coming upon them with the oil of gladness, and filled them to overflowing with your abundant life.
Surely you have given all of these goodness and mercy which shall follow them all the days of their lives, and they shall dwell in your house forever. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and our testimony..
Postby saint701 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 1:50 pm
Oh Lord, we come before you this day with all the needs of your family members associated with Christianity Oasis, and many others. So many are hurting Father, and so many are crying out to you for your grace and mercy. Consider, Father, what the Lord Jesus did on our behalf. Be mindful of the blood on the altar before you that has atoned for our sins, and mindful of the gracious words the Spirit of that blood speaks about us, Lord, that through the sacrifice of your holy son, Jesus, all the world has been blessed. Be mindful of your new covenant with us in that wonderful blood of the lamb, how you have provided your Spirit of grace and mercy to plead our cause, so that we can come boldly before you and receive all our needs met through the blessings of Abraham, all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, and the sure mercies of David in the everlasting covenant. Place all here in your secret place this day, o' Lord, cover us with the blood of the Lamb. We testify before all this day Lord, that you are easily entreated, and your mercies endure forever. We confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and died for our sins, that you have given Him a greater name, that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord to your glory, Father. We glorify you this day, Lord. We receive all the needs of these here today met, Lord, and praise and thank you for your grace and mercy. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
Prayers for protection from evil, Satan, and sin.
Postby saint701 » Wed Jun 10, 2009 11:54 am
Hi all, these short prayers come from the book, "The Prayer of Jabez," by Bruce Wilkinson, (C), 2000. I happened upon them yesterday while reading Mr. Wilkinson's little book. Three of the prayers are for protection from evil. They can be prayed for anyone, from self, to individual family members in need, prayer lists of people, leaders of this country, the body of Christ, churches, or all everywhere.
The last prayer is for one's own blessing. Actually, that is what the book is for, to teach us how to walk dependently upon the Lord and see His mighty hand on us working His miracles of salvation for others. This prayer is called, "The prayer of Jabez," and is taken from the Old Testament, I Chronicles 4:9.
Blessings in Christ Jesus, saint.
Lord, keep me from making the mistakes I am most prone to when temptation comes. I confess that what I think is necessary, smart, or personally beneficial is so often only the beautiful trappings of sin. So please keep evil far from me!
Lord, keep me safe from the pain and grief sin brings; From the dangers that I cannot see, or the ones that I think I can risk because of my pride and carelessness. Put up a supernatural barrier! Protect me, Father, by your great power!
Lord, keep me safe from temptations that pull at my emotions and my sense of what I deserve, what I have a right to feel and enjoy. Because you are the true source of all that is really life, direct my steps away from all that is not of you.
"Oh, Lord, that you would bless me indeed! And enlarge my territory! That your hand would be upon me! And keep me from evil so that I cause no pain!
One might also consider Isaiah Chapter 54 a further working out of this prayer of Jabez.
