Ange update #3

Postby ange » Sun Sep 06, 2009 4:23 pm

I know its been awhile since my last update. Please forgive me, like I know you all will. Anyway....my last dr. appointment proved what I've been confessing..... that my God is good and will not forsake me! I am never alone and I'm much more stronger than i can imagine. The results of the CATT scans were excellent!! The large mass in the upper lobe of my left lung has shrunk to about 1/2 the size it was. Awesome huh? *Guitar*
So I will continue with treatments and not lose hope.. which is sooooo easy to do when all you see and feel is pain and discomfort at that time. I confess it's very difficult for me to remain firm in my faith and focused on what I know is to be true. But I have a great amount of support and encouragement here at oasis. *Guitar* Truth be told.. I was seriously considering cancelling my future chemo treatments, because of the difficult side effects. But the good news the dr. told me last session, was encouraging enough to say to myself that "I must continue ... the benefits outweigh the lousy temporary feelings." Well, my next treatment is this tuesday and I expect nothing but good results from that!! *Guitar* Thank you, all my good friends for your prayers and concerns , your encouragment and support!! You are the medicine I really need!!!! *Guitar*

update #2 for ange

Postby Sassy3 » Sun Sep 06, 2009 6:46 pm

ange, thanks for sharing the wonderful news....continue to hang in there. One day you will look back and the memory of the bad side effects will have almost disappeared (I know). Just today a friend asked me how many days I was hospitalized for the cancer surgery....I had to think for a while; that part of my life is almost forgotten because God has placed so many better things for me to live through and enjoy.

Will pray for your treatment Tuesday; may it go well.

Hi, ange-----

I'm praying for you, along with many others.

You can make it through chemo. My final chemo was 09-01-09. Yes, it does have side effects.

You can make it---Jesus the Son of God is right there with you, holding your hand, holding you.

There is a BEGINNING, MIDDLE and END to these things!

Check out my posts in Partners in Prayer, under: "Going to Local County Hospital ER."

Love & hugs in Christ--------

memory loss?

Postby Sassy3 » Wed Sep 09, 2009 6:37 pm

ange, don't let it bother you...sometimes some of us do suffer a small amount of memory loss, but the important things seem to return.

It is scarey, but with HIS help we can get thru it. My oncologist was so kind and my son said, mom don't worry, you got so much clutter up there in your brain, probably good to let some of it go. LOL
