Chat Room Upgrade

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ,

Our chat server has upgraded to a new version which will allow us to have many more features including our own smilies and avatars in chat.

Faster loading of the chat room and less problems being knocked out of chat unexpectedly.

Complete integration with the forums meaning no more having to log in twice to get into chat as well as links to your C-O-O-L Space profiles from the chat room.

Many more features that will come in over time.

Since they have just changed it over there may and probably will be short periods of time where the chat room will not load or it may seem slow or resource heavy but we are told this is normal and it will not last long.

Because of this though some of your ages and genders may have been changed but you can change it by clicking the gears in the top left corner of your chat page. Also some of you may not get into chat as your name or password is not recognized please PM me if you have this problem and we will get you back in ASAP.

We do apologize for this inconvenience but with progress sometimes there is growing pains. These new features will be installed over the next few weeks. We do appreciate your patience in this as well as we apologize for any inconvenience.
We do feel that once everything is finished the chat room will be much more easier to use as well as more fun with the new features.

I turn on the sound when I am the only one there. Unfortunately, I do not get a sound when people enter - or not one I can hear. But I always hear them leave. If they talk then I hear that - unfortunately many people just enter, sit for a minute and leave without saying hi. Saying, "Hello" would solve that problem, but since I don't have control over that, would you see about an entrance sound? Or a better one? Thanks.

Hi Dema ty for letting us know. We are working on getting that repaired as well.

We have integrated the chat room now so no one has to enter their name and password to get into the chat room anymore as long as you are logged into the forums.

We have added some avatars too in case people do not have any to upload as their own, its in the gear settings on the chat room. More updates as soon as we get them.

The entrance sound we are told will be repaired within a few days.

A new feature is viewing the members COOL Space profile from the chat room. To view a members profile, click on their avatar next to their name in the chat room user list. As usual, to PM them just click on their name and to view their chat room profile just hover over their name.

Update on the chat room bugs. They said on the 28th of this month all of the problems will be fixed such as creating your own room, ability to block someone and uploading pictures. Until then there may be interruptions in chat or things acting weird. Please be patient with this as they are aware of these issues and are working on them now. Hopefully by the 1st all will be back to normal. Thanks and God Bless you all
