I was laying in bed tonight studying in depth the Book of Galatians out of an old 32 volume of "The Preacher's Homiletic Commentary" and came across this.............. so I got up , turned the computer on as God wanted me to share this simple experience of His love for all of us.
First........ let me say that I have been laid off of work for nearly 2 months now and I was unable to give my monthly tithe to this site last month in which I have been faithful in doing so for over 2 years now. I say this not for any glory or recognition whatsoever, but to share with you that God will provide when we do all we can for Him.
In addition........... A "friend" knew that I was unable to give and they asked me how much I usually give a month here. I told them. I later found out that they sent my monthly tithe in for me. They KNEW how I felt about all of you and how I feel that God's love abides within this pasture of His, as He helps many who come here, including myself. I thank them for this and I thank God for having someone who cares enough about how I feel about Christianityoasis and to keep it afloat.
I said all that to share just what I read out of this commentary in which I will attempt to quote it before the sun comes up as slow as I type.
This comes out of page 30 Volume 29. Speaking of Galatians 2.
"The Poor Representative of Christ"
One evening at supper, when one of the boys had said the grace, 'Come Lord Jesus, be our Guest, and bless what Thou hast provided," a little fellow looked up and said," do tell me why the Lord Jesus never comes.,
We ask Him everyday to sit with us, and He never comes!" "Dear child, only believe, and you may be sure He will come, for He does not despise our invitation." 'I shall seek a seat" said the little fellow, and just then there was a knock at the door. A poor frozen apprentice entered, begging a night's lodging. He was made welcome, the chair stood empty for him to have his plate' and the one lamenting that his bed was too small for the stranger, who was quite touched by such uncommon attentions.
The little one had been thinking hard all the time. "Jesus could not come and so He sent this poor man in His place: is that it?!
"Yes, dear child;that is just it. Every piece of bread and every drink of water we give to the poor, or the sick, or the prisoners for Jesus sake, we give to Him" -------------------- Memoir of John Falk

I say this because we simple cannot out give God. He will provide.
I understand some cannot give or some can only give a little. Whatever the case, I'm thankful to have a place to come and share and see God working in many different ways. I may never get to meet you here on earth but one day I hope to meet those who read this.
May God's peace and blessings be upon those who were blessed by this simple story.
