continue to pray...
I do not know why God allows our children to hurt.
I can only look to God's word for example and guidence.
Why did He let JOB go thru his suffering.
Why did He allow Joeseph to be sold into slavery.
What up with Daniel and his experiences.
In our weekness, HE is strongest.
God was with them. HE had a greater plan, one for them to prosper, one for HIS glory.
God gave them strength to carry on. What we might call today, the Holy Spirit, God
provided them with some form of continued education, comfort and strength.
The good book doesn't say the parents went thru these struggles at their sides.
The experiences were theirs. But to get thru them, they needed faith in God.
Where did they learn this from?
How did they know about God in the first place?
How did they know to trust in God?
How did they know about obedience and faith?
Perhaps they learned about those things from stories told by the campfires in the evenings.
Perhaps as they fell to sleep at night someone told them bedtime stories.
Somehow they got their faith by hearing the word of God. Perhaps from their parents?
Shiela, you are already on this path. God has a plan. The way to learn about it is to seek God.
Put God first in all things. Sometimes the healing needed is not in the physical, even though there
may be needs, but in the spiritual that allows us, thru God, to overcome the handicaps.
My point is we need to help our children to seek God. Help them to regonize God's will and His grace.
In that, I do believe our children will find their healing and strength. They look to their parents for
the pattern to do this. Set the example. Show the strength of your own faith. And if that faith is
weak, strengthen it. Seek Him. And continue to pray. I do believe He has a greater plan for Marcus.
All things are possible thru God.
