Bethlehem
 

The trip had been long ... they reached Bethlehem -

and Mary, so tired at the long journey’s end -

knowing the Child would be born before long,

was thankful that Joseph ... so young and so strong,

had found them a place to rest for the night;

it wouldn’t be long … and before morning’s light

she delivered the son God had promised to give -

a dear little boy who would grow up to live

a life given by God, for all of Mankind -

Our Savior ... Christ Jesus, this baby Divine.
