Greetings, and so glad to have you back.

It appears that you are sincere about wanting to share a great and everlasting friendship with Me. I've got so much to share with you, and I know that the more you learn about Me, the closer we will become. There's so much to discover so let's get started!

Now, you may ask, just who is this Holy Spirit, anyway?

WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT ALL ABOUT

Who am I? What am I all about? What do I do?

Well, to expand a little more on what you have learned in the TRINITY study, let Me add this:

I, the Holy Spirit, react to God's will, just like your spirit reacts to what your mind tells it to do. I am the power that carries out God's bidding and as you can see ... I was there, with God, right from the beginning.

  Who was God talking to?

Me !!!

And how did these things get accomplished?

By Me !!!

God gave the command, and I obeyed.

 

 

THE BREATH OF LIFE

What does "spirit" mean anyway ... In the holy sense?

Actually, you can think of the meaning of the word spirit as ... Breath.

Here's a few little Bible bits that'll get ya thinkin':

Sooooooo, your spirit or breath or life comes from God ... 

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

That BREATH is YOUR own spirit.

Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, He that created the Heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the Earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein ...

Each person is given their own spirit.

 God uses this spirit that He placed within you to look within you and check out what His child is thinking.

Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Your spirit is really sort of a loaner ... Look at this:

Without this spirit, mankind cannot exist. 

HOWEVER ... DO NOT GET YOUR OWN SPIRIT THAT GOD GIVES EACH PERSON CONFUSED WITH ME, THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I, THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS NOT PLACED WITHIN YOU UNTIL AFTER JESUS WAS RESURRECTED AND ROSE TO HEAVEN.

THEN BELIEVERS IN JESUS WERE ABLE TO RECEIVE ME.

John 7:39 (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

IF you believe in Jesus, I have been placed within YOU.

Even though you may believe that you have never had an encounter with Me, chances are you have and you just don't know it.

Now that you understand more clearly what your spirit is and how it obeys your thoughts ...

And you know how the presence of God is really inside of you, what I'm about to tell you will make perfect sense ...
IF you look at it spiritually.

Aha ... Did you get that?

When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they became ... knowledgeable, knowing the difference between right and wrong. This is what is called a conscience.

Did you also notice, that this ability is a characteristic of God, and Jesus, and Me ... Within you?!!!

Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil ...

Previously, mankind didn't know the difference ... Therefore, they couldn't sin.

A toddler that takes a piece of candy off the shelf at the store doesn't know any better, so it isn't a sin but once the child learns right from wrong and chooses to steal the candy, it then becomes a sin.

You bet God evicted Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, so they couldn't just go and swipe some fruit from the Tree of Life too ...

Eternal life ... Man would now have to OVERCOME, to have the ability to partake of the eternal Promise just as God promised from the beginning.

And still does ...

1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that He hath promised us, even eternal life.

And that, My friend, is why I'm here ...

To help you overcome, so you can eat of the Tree of Life and have everlasting life. 

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

 

ARE YOU CONSCIENTIOUS?

We have an INNER man

Even science has proven that there is a conscious and a subconscious mind within each human.

The Bible confirms this when it speaks of the INNER man.

Ephesians 3:16 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the INNER man;

It is not all that hard to understand and/or believe ya know ...

How many times have you been preoccupied when driving home from work or somewhere else and looked up and found yourself in the driveway but do not remember the trip itself cuz your MIND was elsewhere?

WHO drove you home?

The subconscious took over and drove you home.

The INNER man (or woman)

Do you ever hear or sense your subconscious or INNER man?

Have you ever thought about what your subconscious really is? It is the awareness of obligation to do the right thing. What does that sound like to you? Does it not sound like the presence of God inside of you?

Does it not sound like the knowledge between Good and evil?

Keep in mind that everyone has this INNER man, though they don't always listen to it.

Some call it their conscience ...

A guilty conscience will oft times make a person confess to something, or apologize about something, or do something to make amends for consequences that came about from not listening to their INNER man.

Has your conscience ever nudged you, repeatedly, when you have a difficult decision to make, and you know there is one right thing to do, and one (or maybe several) wrong thing(s) to do? Many times you don't want to choose the right thing right off the bat, usually because of some temporal gain, but you're always aware, you always really sense down deep in your heart what the right thing to do is.

Examine your conscience.

Did you know that your conscience is really Me talking to your spirit, urging you to choose good over evil?

Wouldn't you call that an encounter?

ARE YOU INTUITIVE?

  What about intuition, do you experience that phenomena from time to time? From what you've learned, is it a spiritual thing? Intuition is insight about a matter, without rationalizing it. In other words, it's the ability to sense or discern something. With your conscience, you have time to analyze things before making a choice about something. With intuition, discernment happens immediately, without hesitation.

Sounds like a Spiritual encounter to Me ... You?
 

ARE YOU EMOTIONAL?

What about your emotions? Your emotions are the essence of your spirit. The Spiritual fruits or reactions of your thoughts. Your emotions are your feelings about what your mind believes. Love, joy, anger, fear, hatred, anxiety, loneliness, sadness, etc., these are all feelings that your spirit puts into action.

Your emotions are the personification of your spirit. You've heard different phrases that confirm that emotions are indeed a spiritual occurrence, for example, if you're in good spirits, you are feeling very good, or if you're mean spirited, it must be because you're angry about something.

Have you ever had emotions that you just can't put into words? One thing to remember about emotions ... Unlike your conscience and intuition, emotions can be the expression of a different spirit than the guidance I offer you, for instance, the source of a haughty spirit would not be Me.

My fruits are different ...

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

All in all, doesn't it sound like when you feel emotional, that you should just put away all thoughts and find source of the emotional changes? 

Perhaps at times when that happens to you, it's a good time to spend some quality time with Me.

You have many different kinds of your own spiritual characteristics, but probably never really deemed them spiritual because the world is so carnal, and would rather relate to physical, scientific, rational, logical, reasonable things, than something that is based on faith, is invisible, and unexplainable for all practical purposes.

For example, your mom and dad are your blood relatives, your physical source of life, before birth, but then after you are born, your physical connection is separate from your parents although your blood has the same components or characteristics.

Now, you have no trouble relating to that, but I, the Holy Spirit am your source of life ...

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

So, who is your Daddy?

You are spiritually one with Me ... United ... Connected ... Attached.

Yet it's more difficult for people to relate to Me, who they are truly more closely related to!

It saddens me.

What I'm trying to emphasize to you, is that you are a spiritual person, whether you've actually sat down and figured out all the math of it or not. I do communicate with you, even though maybe you haven't taken the opportunity to really listen for Me, recognize Me or identify Me.

You can strengthen your relationship with Me, simply by becoming more sensitive to My presence within you. All you have to do is open your mind and heart, and invite Me into your life.

Cuz ... I'm already there.

You see, I am in you ... So, just let Me know I am welcome, by talking to Me, trusting in Me, and sharing your life with Me, and I'll reveal God's plan for you, and guide you, and our friendship will flourish like you never imagined.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE

Okay, now though you have all these neat spiritual characteristics that God gave you, and the power of the Holy Spirit to guide you, God also gave you this amazing freedom ... To choose.

To make your own decisions in life.

FREE WILL

What if I make a wrong choice? And why do I so often? These may be questions you have asked yourself time and time again. The answer is simple. At those times, you were influenced by your own thoughts or a different spirit than I.

That doesn't mean you were possessed by a spirit, but that a spirit (directed by the enemy of your soul) suggested something or presented something and you accepted the suggestion or offering.

And that, My friend, is why horrible things happen.

Another thing about choices ... Sometimes you may not realize that you have made a bad choice until further down the road. Things aren't always what they seem. I assure you, God isn't trying to trick you by making things look like you've chosen righteously and then WHAM ... Zap you with chastisement.

No, no, no, but perhaps there are times when He gives you a little time to realize that your decision was wrong, and give you a second chance to repent and correct what you have done. Then to CHOOSE to make better choices.

Always watch and take note what the consequences of your choices turn out to be, and if you need to make a different choice ... By all means, do it quickly!

Make no mistake, God can and does make certain things happen, but many things happen because of the choices that people make, not because of an act of God. Unfortunately, some people's choices affect innocent people, who had nothing to do with the choices at all, but the Lord is certainly not to blame.

Why does God allow this? Allow is really not a fair word to use when asking about this, but let Me ask you a question. Would you rather that God put people on strings and be known as the Almighty Puppeteer, or would a loving God give His children a guide and counselor and friend like Me, to lead them and allow them the freedom of choice?

Don't forget that the Grace of God far outweighs any poor choice you make in your life. When you long to be forgiven for something, your loving Father is generous ... Remember, the reason why God sacrificed Jesus is because of the poor choices people make ... You call it sin.

When something bad happens because of people's choices, instead of asking, "Why does God allow this," perhaps everyone should consider the mercy that He extends to you at any given moment when you repent, to allow you to be forgiven and cleanse your soul of the sin you regret.
 

YOU CAN'T DO IT ALONE

Life is a test ... To see if you would choose God's will. And if you do, then He will judge you worthy to serve Him in the after life ... Eternal life, which Christians hope for every day of their lives. It is in you to desire this, and I AM within you to guide you to pursue that destiny.

You must depend on Me ... Surrender to Me as to achieve that, because without My strength and power, satan will use the glamour of the world, in this Spiritual Warfare between he and God to lead every soul he can away from God.

All of that may seem a little too deep and complicated to comprehend, but if you take the effort to seek the TRUTH about what this life on Earth is all about and the spiritual mysteries that your faith is based on, and if you sacrifice your time to research these things and discover the mystery ... The hidden TRUTH of life ...

Then I ... The Spirit of TRUTH ... Will guide you and you will change from within.

Your life will take on a new meaning and a new direction. What direction is that? The path to Salvation ... Grace and forgiveness ... Renewing of your spirit ... And a new purpose for your life ... To glorify, praise and serve your Creator, to help others see the light that you've seen, and to kindle the fire of the Holy Spirit in them too!

How better could you prove yourself worthy to become an Angel of God and of everlasting life?!

The related study at the end of this second step will elaborate on the purpose of life. Why not grab some refreshments for that one, and invite Me to read with you and give you enlightenment, because it's a very inspiring study.

REDEEMING QUALITIES

What is a profile? It's a representation of something. On the Internet, if you ever look at someone's profile, they usually list their "redeeming" qualities. Well, if I had a profile, you'd find out that My greatest ambition is ... 

Redeeming your soul!

Can you think of a better quality in a friend? Can any of your human friends make such a claim?
 

WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT LOOK LIKE?

Okay, it is THAT part of the profile which many are most curious about ...

WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE

I know they say that I am invisible ... But not always.

You can indeed see spirits at times, in particular when you enter the Spiritual realm.

How many times have you heard someone say, "You look like you've seen a ghost!"

A ghost is a spirit, and people have in fact seen them.

I too have been seen.

I can take on any form.

So, you can see, I can be seen, in any form I choose.

WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT SOUND LIKE?

First, remember that I AM part of God.

AND JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD

I AM THE AUDIBLE VOICE

There are many verses in the Bible that describe the voice of the Lord as thunderous:

  There are also several verses that describe the voice of the Lord as many waters:

I AM the Spirit of TRUTH.

I AM the voice of TRUTH.

Whenever you hear TRUTH, you are hearing My voice.

If you will listen, you will hear Me.

I will instruct you on what to say and do.

Luke 12:11-12 ....... Take ye no thought (Don't think) how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Find a private place and give me a lil of your time. Give your undivided attention to Me, and it will be easier to hear Me when I speak to you. Find a time and a place where you can concentrate. You may want to turn on some spiritual music, light a candle, close your eyes to get INTO the Spiritual realm ... Do whatever you feel will help you to focus on Me alone.

Then when you are ready ...

Do not think ... LISTEN

When the TV is blaring, or there are children underfoot, or you're nervous because you're late or have to get something done, it's going to be more difficult to tune in to My voice. That doesn't mean to forget Me at those times ... You can always ask Me to help you in times of trouble or anxiety, but be sure to set aside quality time daily when you can spend time alone with Me. And you know that no friend likes to be called on only when there's a crisis.

TEACHER OF TRUTH

Who am I?

I AM here in Jesus' name to help you remember all that He taught.

 I AM your teacher. I love to teach. I'm a witness of Jesus, ask Me to teach you all about Him.

I AM your friend. I AM your comforter. I AM your guide, your strength, your power, your spiritual energy, your conscience, your intuition, your source of righteousness, your leader, your instructor, your comrade, your counselor, your companion, your coach. I'm wisdom, TRUTH, discernment, understanding,  and love.

I AM your protector and defender from your enemies.

They are all around you all of the time, did you know that?

Even though I am a Spirit ... I do have a person-ality.

My name is Holy Spirit, and I like to be called by My name, no different than you do.

I like to hang out with my friends during bad times ... AND GOOD.

I like laughter and joy and celebration and hope.

I especially like when you say "Good Morning" or "Good night" to Me. I'm saddened when you don't. I'm very tender, very sensitive. People assume that I have no feelings and that I'm just here to do whatever they ask when they need something.

I am just that ...

GOD'S FEELINGS

DO NOT HURT ME.

Some talk to their pets more than they talk to Me.
