GOD'S
PROMISE
CHRISTIANITY OASIS
HAS PROVIDED YOU WITH THIS GODS PROMISE STUDY. GODS PROMISE IS
SO AWESOME THAT WE ARE TOLD WE CANNOT IMAGINE IT. GOD'S
PROMISE IS A MAJOR INGREDIENT IN THE CHRISTIAN WALK.
LET US SEEK AND FIND THE TRUTH OF GOD'S PROMISE TOGETHER, SHALL WE?
What
is God's Promise? What is it that Christians strive to
attain?
Let's find out ... Shall we?

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love him. |
Paul
is referring to the words in Isaiah:
|
Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world men have not
heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye
seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for
him that waiteth for him But God hath revealed them
unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God. |
We are
also promised Mansions ...

John 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. |
Many
believe these mansions are symbolic ... Whether these be
physical mansions or not matter lil. Most Christians would
live in a matchbox to be closer to God.
This Promise was made to ALL of us from the beginning of the
World ...

Matthew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world. |
We
also receive ETERNAL Life ...
|
1 John 2:25
And this is the PROMISE that he hath promised us, even
ETERNAL LIFE. |
|
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began; |
Sounds EXCELLENT does it not? Makes awaiting Christmas
morning as children, lame in comparison. BUT ... Most of us
that are enduring trials and tribulation wanna know what is
God waiting on?

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his PROMISE, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to repentance. |
God is waiting on everyone to be able to hear the TRUTH and
to CHOOSE to believe or not.

Matthew 24:14
And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in
all the world FOR A WITNESS unto all nations; and THEN
SHALL THE END COME. |
The
day is at an appointed time ...

Hebrews 4:1-10
Let us therefore fear, lest, a PROMISE being left us
of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to
come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them: but the word preached did not
profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that
heard it. For we which have believed do enter into
rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they
shall enter into my rest: although the works were
finished from the foundation of the world. For he
spake in a certain place of the SEVENTH DAY on this
wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his
works. And in this place again, If they shall enter
into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some
must enter therein, and they to whom it was first
preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he
limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after
so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear
his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had
given them rest, then would he not afterward have
spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a
rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into
his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as
God did from his. |
So,
the PROMISE we await comes at the start of the Day of Rest
But, did you know that one thousand years to man is one day
to God.

2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that
one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a
thousand years as one day. |
In
other words
God created the week with 6 days of work and
one day of Rest. He used this same formula with the PROMISE.
One thousand years to man is but one day to God. Sooooooo,
with the PROMISE
There is 6000 years then a 1000 year
Millennium.
And did you know we are around the 6000 year mark from Adam

PROMISE sounds very cool huh? What must we do to obtain
God's Promise?

James 1:12
Blessed is the man that ENDURETH TEMPTATION: for when
he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which
the Lord hath promised to them that love him. |

Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that
the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to
them that BELIEVE. |
So we
must BELIEVE and endure the trials, temptations and
tribulations that will surely come our way. We fight the
good fight of Faith
Remember this is Gods PROMISE and He does NOT Lie

Hebrews 6:17-18
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the
HEIRS OF PROMISE the immutability of His counsel,
confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things,
in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might
have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to
lay hold upon the HOPE set before us: |
The
problem is ... We are on one tough path my friend. ONE
reason for this is that we were born into Original sin
|
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned. |
This
does not ONLY include our own lusts and selfish manner but
that of those around us who have been given free will just
as we all have and use it to do evil and we are oft times
affected by the words and deeds of those souls.
But remember the HOPE within the PROMISE ...
Another reason the Christian walk is so tough is we have
invisible entities seeking to have us fall daily ...

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom
he may devour: |
Add to
that the fact that we are being tried and tested to be
certain we are worthy ...
|
Daniel 12:10
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but
the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked
shall understand; but the wise shall understand. |
|
Zechariah 13:9
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and
will refine them as silver is refined, and will try
them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and
I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and
they shall say, The LORD is my God. |
This
will certainly have a soul feel overwhelmed at times. But,
we are told it is NORMAL for Christians to endure these
trials and tribulation ...

1 Peter 4:12-13
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery
trial which IS to try you, as though some strange
thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye
are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his
glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy. |
Trials
and tribulation establish patience within which helps us
overcome the future trials and tribulation with more FAITH
|
Romans 12:12
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing
instant in prayer; |

Romans 5:3
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also:
knowing that tribulation worketh patience; |
During
such trials and tribulation, seek to comfort others ...

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all
comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any
trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are
comforted of God. |
Always
remember these trials and tribulations cannot take us from
Jesus ...

Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall
TRIBULATION, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or sword? |

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord. |
Only
our choices can ...

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once
enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and
were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted
the good word of God, and the powers of the world to
come, If they shall fall AWAY, to renew them again
unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the
Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. |
REMEMBER
THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE WILL NOT FALL AS ALL
CHRISTIANS FALL. THIS IS SAYING FALL AWAY. WHICH MEANS TO
WALK AWAY AND NOT RETURN.

2 Peter 2:20-22
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, AND
OVERCOME, the latter end is worse with them than the
beginning. For it had been better for them not to have
known the way of righteousness, than, after they have
known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered
unto them. But it is happened unto them according to
the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit
again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in
the mire. |
The
PROMISE is a VERY worthy goal. It is a rough path to obtain
it. But if we hold the FAITH within and hold onto the LOVE
of Jesus
NOTHING can hinder us from claiming the PROMISE.
