The Gift of Grace From God is Free to You
Repenting to God For Sin

Always good to share Daily Bread with you! Now where were we? We were discussing the Faith in God and Jesus Christ that clears us of sin, and that good works, although they are good, they do not pay for the Grace that God gives us. We learned about the strong Faith that Abraham had and how God saw that as righteousness. Now Paul explains still more about Faith.

First of all, three amazing benefits that come from Faith:

  • Peace with God
  • Grace, which we obtain through Faith in Jesus who bought it (Grace) for us with His life
  • Hope of the glory of God (eternal life with Him)

And not only this, but we rejoice in tribulations also. What? Yes, take a look at the benefits that come from tribulations:

  • Patience, which gives us ...
  • Experience, which gives us ...
  • Hope, which makes us bold ... Because the Love of God streams widely in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.

Remember, the Holy Spirit gives us power which makes us bold! Jesus said:

Acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Gift of Grace From God is Through Jesus
Repenting to God to Receive Grace

God proved His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. And more than that, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. If, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more certainly, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the forgiveness.

Therefore, just as by one man (Adam), sin entered into the world (Genesis 2:17), and because of sin, death, (Genesis 3:19), and so death passed upon (was inherited by) all men, and because of that all have sinned, Because from the time of Adam, until the law was given to Moses, sin was in the world: but sin is not counted when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned similarly to Adam, who is the figure of Him that was to come. But unlike Adam's sin, is the free gift.

Repenting to God Facts

For if through the sin of one man (Adam), many be dead, much more powerfully the Grace of God, and the gift by Grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded to many. And not like it was by one man that sinned, is the gift, for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many sins unto justification. For if by one man's sin, death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of Grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

Repenting to God Summary

One man, Adam, brought sin into the world. How much more powerful is the Grace, which one man, Jesus Christ brought into the world? Much more. Paul calls Grace the free gift. By accepting the free gift, you put to death ... Death!

There is a force out there that is attempting to overtake us all; it is Satan. There is another force that is protecting us from him; it is the Holy Spirit. It is a battle for souls. This battle is called Spiritual Warfare, and like it or not, you are right in the middle of it.
