Let's first look into where we are to pray:
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Jesus does not want us to pray to be seen praying.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
What does Jesus mean when He says if we pray as to be seen praying by others when it is supposed to be directed to God, "They have their reward."
It is obvious we oft times need to pray when we are not at home, so this means we should enter a place we are all alone and pray within ourselves and not just to be seen of man as some kinda super prayer person or whatever they think when they do so.
Biblical Prayer and Righteous Prayer Procedure
Now does this mean that we should not pray with and for others openly?
Of course we are to pray for others. But can we do so openly? Jesus did:
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to
Heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come;
glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He
should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given Him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the
work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou
gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me;
and they have kept thy Word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast
given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the Words which thou gavest
me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came
out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them
which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am
glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the
world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name
those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy
name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is
lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the
world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy Word; and the world hath hated
them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the
world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the
world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the
world.
17 Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I
also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also
might be sanctified through the Truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which
shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me,
and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may
believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them;
that they may be one, even as we are One:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made
perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me,
and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me,
be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast
given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but
I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will
declare it: that the Love wherewith thou hast Loved me may be in
them, and I in them.
Biblical Prayer is Righteous Prayer Debate
This is a prayer of Jesus to God and is being quoted, so He prayed openly.
But what about this?
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
It appears it is why you do so and what is in your heart. Perhaps praying for others as to uplift them and that being the only intent is acceptable and pleasing to the Lord.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Now, let us delve deeper into the Lord's Prayer Bible verse. I would like to look at a prayer which the Lord taught us:
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which
art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is
in Heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
evil: For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for
ever. Amen.
This righteous Prayer is known as The Lord's Prayer.
The Lord's Prayer Bible Analyzed
Let us break this prayer down, one line at a time shall we?
Jesus said:
"After this manner therefore pray ye:"
Now, Jesus states that we are to pray after this manner, but it is obvious that we are not to just repeat that prayer as He also said:
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
So, He is saying do not just repeat the same words over and over like some kind of ritual. He also shares that "much speaking" is not needed, but rather share what is in your mind and heart.
Let's look at the next line of the Lord's Prayer Bible verse Scriptures:
"Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name."
This is an opening address so just like any letter, you address who you are talking to but this is your Lord. Much like a Love letter where we may start our letter with "Greetings to the most precious soul I know and Love of my life."
Let's look at the next line of the Lord's Prayer Bible passages:
"Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven."
Thy Kingdom come, perhaps could express a desire for God's Kingdom in all its glory to become manifest in our lives, or just a confirmation that we look forward with hope to the coming of His Kingdom - the New Heaven and the New Earth described in the Book of Revelation.

Letting God know that His Will is what you seek is essential:
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
Even Jesus did:
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, Thy Will be done.
So, during prayer, saying ... "Your Will be done Father" or something similar is a much needed ingredient in effective prayer. Let's look at the next line of the Lord's Prayer Bible Blessing:
"Give us this day our daily bread."
This is where we express our needs and desires. But, remember His Will is what we seek. He knows what we need more than we do.
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?
or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for
your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
What is the Lord's Prayer Bible Verse Secret

He then adds in:
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Then He says:
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Okie dokie ... The next line of the Lord's Prayer Bible example:
"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."
We must choose to forgive all during prayer.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
No matter what excuse you may feel is valid ... Forgive all. Just as our Lord has us.
Biblical Prayer - Righteous Prayer No-Nos
The next verse of the Lord's Prayer Bible Prayer says:
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:"
It is written that God does not tempt:
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man:
This Biblical Prayer suggestion is simply saying that we should ask not to be led into temptation by anything or anyone, but rather to be taken from the path of evil that we ourselves usually choose, unknowingly at times.
Now, the next to last line of the Lord's prayer Bible quote states:
"For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever."
This is a Biblical Prayer closing statement much like the opening line of a letter where you would again show your adoration, praise and love.
The last line of the Lord's Prayer says:
"Amen."
I have a Lord's Prayer Bible verse trivia question for you ... Why do you think we are taught to say Amen when we complete a Prayer?
It is a sign of accord and belief:
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Biblical Prayer Plus Righteous Prayer Equals Success
It signifies we believe what we just experienced was real and would come to pass:
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Note that He said if we ask in His name. Jesus is the bridge between us and God:
For there is One God, and One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
And the Holy Spirit reveals our spirit in prayer:
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for
we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit
Itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
27 And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the
mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the Saints
according to the Will of God.

Two more little things about righteous prayer that I want to point out:
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the Grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Love is an essential ingredient in effective prayer recipe. Anger or harboring unrighteous anger or thoughts hinders prayer.
How about this one:
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge,
which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto
him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said
within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her,
lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day
and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find Faith on the
earth?
If when you pray, you do not receive what you ask for ... Keep praying !!!
Be as patient on Him as He was and is on you. His timing and His judgment are perfect.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray
unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search
for me with all your heart.
