With Father's Day coming up, I started to wonder, what makes my dad a good dad? I started writing, just whatever came to my mind, and this came out. My dad is a hero, a member of the United States Navy, and people have offered to buy his groceries for him because he was in uniform. However, being a hero does not make him a good dad. It is being my prince, role model, teacher, and my best friend. Most importantly, it is being a great Christian dad.

There are many dads in this world
Some good, some bad
Any man can be a dad
However, it takes a real man
To be my Daddy

You have to be the prince
Of Cinderella's castle
Always dancing with me
And sweeping me off my feet
Please Daddy, please

You cannot ever cry
Nevertheless, you must teach me
That it is okay to cry sometimes
It only makes you stronger
Please Daddy, please

In addition, you must be a role model
Do not be into drugs or beer
Know that I am much more important than that
And please be better than my Prince Charming
Please Daddy, please

Finally, you must know me
For my birthday
You have to buy me more toys
More than the amount in Santa's sleigh
Please Daddy, please
