Bear Ye One Another's Burdens Meaning

Not wanting to bear one another's burdens seems to be the evolved mindset of the majority of the world today and it is only increasing because Love is waxing cold in today's world just as the Bible predicted that it would occur in the latter days as the approaching End Times gets closer and closer.

Alas ... This is NOT the way the Bible says we should be. In fact it is quite the opposite. We are to actually seek ways to bear one another's burdens. Let's dig a lil deeper into this very concerning matter:

Romans 12:15

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Galatians 6:2

Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Wow ... It already appears this "look out for ourselves" concept is not Biblically sound.

There is one aspect though, which is the foundation of this Ministry and that is the Christian Counseling. We have many souls who come here with varying issues which have imprisoned their soul. These souls are lost and hurting in a darkness most cannot even fathom.

If that sounds like you ... Consider our free Christian Counseling.

We also have many souls who have been led here as to reach and teach these lost and hurting souls. These called Christians are an ear, shoulder, friend and oft times a sounding board when these hurting souls need to vent. Consider this aspect of this Ministry as being like a hospital, old folks home, orphanage or other institutions, the world provides, for people to be able to heal or be gently cared for as they walk the path of life.

We all know that we can see, hear and sense some horrible things at these places. From bloody cuts, to screams of pain, to cries in the night due to loneliness which can bring forth tears to the eyes and heart, to foul spirits within.

However ... We also see caregivers at these places working diligently to help these souls.

How to Bear Burdens ... Sometimes you may encounter a person who is a lost and hurting soul. Some of these hurting lil lambs can be having a bad day, week, month or even years. Being lost and very alone they seek to have the burden lifted. They even pray for God to lift the burden. When you encounter one of God's lost sheep, consider them as helping them carry that burden. It may be that our Heavenly Father has chosen you as the tool by which He will answer their prayer. Bear burdens of others.

Let us apply this to the lonely and elderly. What if ... Imagine the overwhelming sadness of being an abandoned elderly soul; Just sitting there day in and day out in silence and drowning in tears, because they hate where they are in life.

James 1:27

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction ...

Or how about having your own friend getting hooked on alcohol and/or drugs, seeking help and the last thing they need is your "I told you so" ...

Proverbs 17:9

He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

They need HELP not CON-demnation.

Or your own sister who is involved in domestic violence but wants it to work out ... However;

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Why Should We Bear One Another's Burdens

Or your own daughter who is caught up in the web of lust and wants out, but does not need stones thrown at her. What good would that do, but kill her? Bear burdens of others.

John 8:7

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Do you bear burdens? What if your own son who fell into depression and has been taught to cut and has no idea how to escape the grasp, but them hearing or sensing your judgmental "ewwwwwwww" is certainly only going to send them back deep into the darkness.

1 John 3:17

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Are you a busybody? What is a busybody you may ask ... Do you get with your close friends and secretly whisper, demean and gossip about the lost souls that come across your path? Do you and your friend condemn these souls as possibly being sinners, even though you commit your own sins in God's sight?

Matthew 23:13

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

The thing is, these lost and hurting souls are your friends and family. The Christian family. The Bible is clear on how we are to treat our Christian family:

Romans 12:9-21

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of Saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Our Lord was very clear on what happens if we do bear burdens of others and if we choose not to bear one another's burdens:

Matthew 25:31-46

31 When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy Angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory:
32 And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and His angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
