God's Unconditional Love Bible Study
Unconditional Love Bible Verses
Let us begin, shall we? What is unconditional Love? When you stop and think of what Love is, you probably think back to grade school and that feeling that you had when you exchanged Valentine's Day cards hoping that you got one from a special somebody or when you got a little older and you experienced infatuation, or even when you got even older and now you think you really know what Love is.
But you may find that few people ever find real Love. Just why is that? Let us seek within the Bible for Truth ... Because most of the time, people have the wrong idea of what Love really, really is. Even when you think you truly understand the meaning of Love, if you take the effort to open your heart and view your definition, ask yourself, does it include expectation? Is there anything, even one thing, that is selfish about it? Of course it does, and of course there is. Why? Because we think that Love is something we do, and something we receive, not something that we are.
God is Love!
And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
We are made in God's image.
And if God is Love, His presence in us is where our Love comes from. When you feel the Love of God in you, is it different than the kinds of Love we talked about a moment ago? Sure thing, because the pure Love of God is that "unconditional" Love that people talk about, but have trouble emitting, because they want to add their own definitions, requirements, and conditions.
How do you show God your Love for Him?
But whoso keepeth His Word, in Him verily is the Love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

Unconditional Love Bible Verses Blessing
Another word used to express unconditional Love is called charity. The Apostle Paul gives us a beautiful description of unconditional Love in the Bible verses below.
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling
cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand
all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so
that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it
profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth
not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is
not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all
things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,
they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether
there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which
is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as
a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away
childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face
to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but
the greatest of these is charity.
Jesus gave us a new commandment, that we should Love all.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye Love one
another; as I have Loved you, that ye also Love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if
ye have Love one to another.
John 15:9
As the Father hath Loved me, so have I Loved you: continue ye in my Love.
Matthew 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt Love
the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt Love thy
neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.
Love isn't always an easy thing to do. And when Jesus said to Love all, He meant all!
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt Love
thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that
curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which
despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in
heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye Love them which Love you, what reward have
ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more
than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is
in heaven is perfect.
God's Unconditional Love Bible Study on Grace
Unconditional Love Bible Verses on Mercy
Love is a verb, it's not only something that you feel in your heart.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do
good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which
despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer
also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take
thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that
taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also
to them likewise.
32 For if ye Love them which Love you, what thank have ye?
for sinners also Love those that Love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what
thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what
thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much
again.
35 But Love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping
for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be
the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and
to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is
merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and
ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure,
pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give
into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it
shall be measured to you again.
Paul gives us even more counsel on Love:
9 Let Love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly
Love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving
the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing
instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to
hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them
that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high
things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own
conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live
peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beLoved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he
thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire
on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Unconditional Love Bible Verses Give Hope
Love isn't only that euphoric feeling that you may have for another human being, there's also something that God tells us to practice, which He Himself practices, called tough Love:
For whom the Lord Loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that Loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Hebrews 12:6-8
6 For whom the Lord Loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth
every son whom He receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with
sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are
partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Forgiveness is an important part of Love:
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but Love covereth all sins.
Proverbs 17:9
He that covereth a transgression seeketh Love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Proverbs 15:17
Better is a dinner of herbs where Love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

Unconditional Love Bible Verses Prove God's Love
Love is a fruit of the Holy Spirit:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
One of our jobs as Christian brothers and sisters is to encourage each other to Love all:
And let us consider one another to provoke unto Love and to good works:
Love has no fear and should not differ from one person to the next, it includes all.
18 There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out
fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect
in Love.
19 We Love Him, because He first Loved us.
20 If a man say, I Love God, and hateth his brother, he is
a liar: for he that Loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can
he Love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from Him, That he who
Loveth God Love his brother also.

hast left thy first Love.

repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee
quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except
thou repent.
