Mary was Jesus' mother. Before Mary was married to Joseph, the angel Gabriel told her that the Holy Spirit would put a baby inside her and she would have a son. Gabriel told her to call His name Jesus and that He shall be called the Son of God. Mary was special to God, she was a good woman. Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable and a manger was His crib because there was no room at the inn in Bethlehem, where they were staying, the night that the baby Jesus was born.
