The kittens love on my dog. She's an old yellow lab.
She looks up at me during those times with sad eyes as if to say can you please explain to them that I am NOT their momma.
Then there's the times when we pull into the drive and she walks right down the middle of the road towards us as if she doesn't see us, but we know she does and she has this look on her face like she's saying, "You love me enough to not hit me don't you." Then she slowly walks off the side of the drive way so we can drive past her.
We have an electric under ground fence cause she runs off. When we take her for drives she gets this look of panic like, "IT'S GOING TO SHOCK ME!!!" when we drive past the line, even if she doesn't have the colar on. If we stop somewhere and I get out, I am certain to come back and have to fight for my seat back.

It's funny when we take her in the rv to see her sitting in the passenger seat. She thinks it's where she belongs, right beside Cubby. When I get in I'll say, that's MY seat. And she looks like, "FINE! But I don't like it! One day it's going to be MY seat!"
We use to have chickens that ran free. She would chase them as if she was saying, "I'm going to get you. I'm going to get you. I'm going to get you." Then she'd touch them with her nose and run away looking back at them like she was saying, "Come and get me, Come and Get me come and get me." When she realized the chickens were not going to chase her it was as if she was disappointed they wouldn't play the game with her. She never hurt the chickens.
She's old and cant climb stairs very easy anymore. So we moved her food where there are no stairs to climb. She still tries to go down the stairs even though there is no reason to. One day I tried to stop her. She pushed me out of the way and looked at me like she was stubbornly saying, "I'm not to old to do this. Stand out of my way and watch me!" Kind of reminds me of a stubborn old lady that's told she can't do something anymore, then she's all the more determined she will do it.
ok I'll stop here.

I could go on forever about Ginger. We've been together for over 11 years and she's the best dog ever. The only thing she'd ever hurt is squirrels and chipmunks.

She hates them. They drive her nuts.
