How one might put on the whole armor of God...

First of all, please forgive me, here. I do not presume to know anything about most of you all on this site. However, if any of you out there have never known just how one might put on the whole armor of God, I offer the following prayer as a suggestion. I say suggestion because as the Lord has taught us we shall abide in Him. If what you are doing works for you, keep doing it. The following is what works for me.

Father, in the name of Jesus this day, we come before you, we praise your Holy Name, we worship you, we give you all the glory. Father, we love and adore you. I ask this day, Lord, that you place your armor upon me, even the helmet of salvation, that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, that you, Father, did raise Him from the dead, and seat Him at your own right hand, that at His name, every knee has to bow and confess that He is Lord to your glory!
And that I am saved through His live in me!

I ask, Father, that you place your breastplate of righteousness upon me, having reconciled me to yourself through the blood of the cross, through my faith in that atoning blood, and have given me the abundance of grace, and the gift of righteousness, through my faith, and caused me to reign as a king in this life through Him that loved me and gave His life for me!

Lord God Almighty, abba, Father, I just ask that you gird about my loins with your truth, your word is truth, and your Spirit is truth. Therefore Father, I ask that you gird about my loins with your Words of Truth and your Spirit of Truth, that you comfort and guide me into all Truth!

Oh, Lord, please clothe my feet with the gospel of your precious peace, even making me a minister of reconciliation through the blood of the cross, that you are in the world not imputing trespasses or sins, but offering life through Jesus Christ to all that will believe in Him.

Lord God, we bless the name of Jesus this day, and ask that you arm our left hand with your great shield of your faith, that is able to quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked one, even that all things have been made lawful to us through faith to those of us that have crucified the flesh with its lusts and affections, that walk after the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, who are free from the law of sin and death, and live through the law of life in Christ Jesus.

Almighty Father, we take up the great sword of your Spirit, even the Word of God, that is quick and mighty two edged sword, able to discern the intents of the heart, and divide between soul and spirit, confronting the forces of darkness with the knowledge that they have been judged because of the death and resurrection of our Lord, and we bring the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ against them, declaring their end shall be in the lake of fire, that our Lord has triumphed over them, and that they have been defeated. We bring the cross and the blood of our Lord and Savior against them, and stand!

And Lord, please strengthen I in I with your might, and quicken this mortal body for your will and service. Take me to stand in the gap and make up the hedge!

Thank you, Father. We praise your Holy Name, worship you, give you all the glory this day, love and adore you, Lord. Thank you for putting your great armor upon me.

I lie down prostrate on the floor when I ask the Lord to put His armor upon me. To me it is the highest honor in His service. I pray this prayer strongly believing. When I get up I am fortified. I feel His might and power. I fear no evil.
