Re: The situation in Syria
Hi Everyone,
Been a while since last update. There are various tidbits of news across Ukraine, Iran and geopolitics/war in general.
Warmonger Lindsey Graham died suddenly, apparently only a few days after meeting Zelensky in Ukraine.
Graham was an openly evil individual, yet there is evil in all of us and any of us could die any day, so it would be highly unwise to celebrate anyone's death.
The grinding war of attrition continues, with Russians apparently closing the vice on the regional city of Kostyantynivka. Meanwhile, Russia is elsewhere reportedly feeling the effects of ongoing cross border drone and rocket attacks on its energy and fuel infrastructure.
For a pretty good update on the situation re: Ukraine/Russia, I have provided a link. The only glaring factual innaccuracy in the article is the mention of Russian casualties which it describes as exorbitantly higher than Ukrainian casualties. This is systematic propaganda, as the most exhaustive, credible casualty count I have come across (mentioned in a post from earlier this year) indicates an overall casualty ratio of about 1:1.
Having said this, I believe there is real internal pressure building on Putin about how the war is being run, especially since it's now been going about four-and-a-half years.
Link to the article I mentioned, which is from the Financial Times, is below:

At the start of this post I mentioned Iran as well. I'll post about that in more detail another time.
Obviously, Netanyahu/Israel have an interest in that war continuing no matter what. The neocons (prevalent across both major parties in the US) have the same interest, as they do with Ukraine. The military-industrial-complex, with its tentacles through the mainstream media, security state, weapons manufacturers, etc, have the same interest.
One has to wonder whether the mentally failing (he's about 80 years old, after all) openly corrupt individual they call the President is anything more than a figurehead. Do you think he's capable of making informed decisions? If so, would they carry any weight? (Rhetorical questions).
That will be it for now. Till next time.
