I think it is a great idea!
please think of youself sitting on the other side, would you want to listen to someone older that has no clue of todays teens or a teen that has been there, just be real about yourself and honest with them.
I saw this firsthand, you see I was part of a youth group and they really seem to connect a lot better to the younger speakers we had.
As for you and the frogiveness for you, you see it will benifit you as much if not more to forgive, anger is satans way to pull you away from God......don't let him.
May God bless you in ways only He can, and maybe even use you to reach those teens
