Mark 13:18
Mark 13:14-18
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
I'm struck by verse 18: And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Jesus is telling me (and everyone else who reads verse 18) that I am to pray for something specific -- that my flight be not in the winter. While no one knows the date or time regarding The End Times, we are told to watch and be ready.
I'm not a fan of cold weather. As I sit here typing, I'm really cold and I hope Spring comes early.
As I read those blessed scriptures, I was also reminded of:
1John 5:14-15 KJV
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I believe Him.
God bless you
