Day 2 of MCFC Two by Two

For years, even though I read this scripture (GEN 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image), I honestly could not believe I was made in His image, because of my mom's continuous put-downs. I couldn't help seeing myself through her eyes, and all I saw was an ugly person. I was never taught to develop a good self-esteem, confidence in myself, or anything like that. It was only after I began counseling that I began seeing myself in a different light. Sometimes I do fall, and see myself the way she used to, but I'm learning to get back up and fight back.

love, you are a beautiful person. One of the sweetest ladies I have met. Your mom, might have called you names, that hurt, but the Lord was calling you His child, and that name is the only one that will ever matter. The Lord is so proud of you, and you should be too. I bet He is smiling on you, saying go love go. You are glorifying HIM, by overcoming the old fears, and replacing them with the NEW you. Way to go love!
