Abel was Adam and Eve's second child. He was a shepherd. Abel gave a gift to God. It was a firstling (firstborn sheep) of his flock. Abel's brother, Cain, gave God some food for a gift. God liked Abel's gift better and Cain was so jealous that he killed Abel. The voice of Abel's blood cried to God from the ground so God punished Cain.
