Joseph

Joseph was Mary's husband. When Jesus was a baby, king Herod of Judæa wanted to kill him, so an angel of the Lord told Joseph in a dream, to take Jesus and Mary, leave Bethlehem of Judæa where Jesus was born, and go to Egypt until he was told to return. When Herod died and the holy family did return, God warned Joseph that Herod's son was now the king in Judæa, so they went to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, where Joseph and Mary raised Jesus. Joseph was a carpenter, and he taught Jesus to be a carpenter.
