Samson
 

Samson was a judge of Israel. Before Israel had kings, they had judges to lead the people in doing right. The Philistines didn't like Samson because he had amazing strength and he was a man of God. When the Philistines found out that if his hair was cut, then his strength would be like any other man, they cut his hair while he was sleeping. They poked out his eyes and put him in prison. While Samson was in prison, his hair grew back. One day the Philistines had a big party with 3,000 people. They brought Samson there in chains to make fun of him. Samson asked God to let him pay the Philistines back for what they did to his eyes. Samson pushed on two pillars of the house that he was leaning on and said "Let me die with the Philistines." The house fell and everyone there died.
