Sarah
(Sarai)Sarai was Abraham's wife. God promised that Sarai would have a son, even though she and Abraham were old, and she doubted it. She even laughed when she heard the Lord tell Abraham about it. God told her to call their son’s name Isaac, which means laughter. Sarai grew impatient
(she couldn't wait) so she told Abraham to have a child with her handmaid, Hagar, so that maybe she could have a child by her. Sarai found out that things don't always turn out exactly how people hope they will, especially when the Lord makes a promise and then they take matters into their own hands. Fourteen years later, Sarah gave birth to their only son Isaac when she was 90 years old and Abraham was 100. God changed Sarai's name to Sarah.
