The Pharaoh's chief butler made him angry, so Pharaoh put him in prison. Joseph (Jacob's son) was put in charge of him. The butler had a dream that he told to Joseph because with God, Joseph could tell what dreams meant. The dream was that there was a vine with 3 branches. It grew clusters of grapes. The butler took the grapes, pressed them into the Pharaoh's cup, and put the cup in the Pharaoh's hand. Joseph told the butler exactly what the dream meant, and it really happened next. The 3 branches were 3 days, and after 3 days, the Pharaoh would let the butler out of prison and give him his job back. Joseph asked the butler to put in a good word about him to the Pharaoh when he got out, but the butler forgot.
