CHRISTIANITY OASIS
HAS PROVIDED YOU WITH THIS FEAR STUDY. MOST HAVE
HEARD OF FEAR BUT HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO ABOUT FEAR. LET US
SEEK AND FIND THE TRUTH OF FEAR TOGETHER, SHALL WE?
FEAR ... Is a spiritual reaction from our
thoughts and beliefs which can control our lives making us
no more than a puppet to said fears. There are all types and
sources of fear.
Isn’t it strange how mankind likes to take
our idiosyncrasies (personal habits) and create fancy lil
names for them as to explain away these personal habits. In
doing so, we begin to accept these personal habits as being
REAL and we tend to establish these habits as a crutch of
sorts ... A RESPONSE when we are confronted or overwhelmed
by some event.
FEAR
is one of those personal habits that many souls tend to
establish within and some even become a ... Phobia.
Phobia
is defined as: an uncontrollable, irrational, and persistent
fear of a specific object, situation, or activity.
It is
oft times an intense fear of something that poses little or
no actual danger, yet one's BELIEF in the fear, causes them
to avoid everyday situations, objects, or places.
Some
common phobias are: Acrophobia - fear of heights;
Agoraphobia - fear of leaving the familiar setting of
the home; Claustrophobia - fear of closed places;
Xenophobia - fear of strangers. Arachnophobia - the fear
of spiders ... There are even some phobias that most people
may view as extremely unusual, like Iophobia - fear of
rust ... Or Aulophobia - fear of the flute.
There
are other sources of fear ...
Like
when someone hurts us. After
our heart is hurt by someone, some
souls become encaged by fear due to those past experiences
and create a wall, an armor of sorts, around the heart to
protect it from the potential of being hurt again leaving us
alone and bitter to those we encounter, having them react
negatively which reinforces the belief that people are out
to hurt them. This is one vicious cycle created by fear.
Then
there is the fear of fear itself ...
Did
you know that many people experience physical pain from
fear? In cases such as panic attacks, one can actually be
suffering from a minor symptom but when fear is allowed to
spring forth ... One actually CREATES additional symptoms
with their mind and until the fear subsides, the symptoms
APPEAR real.
The
point is ... FEAR can become so powerful, that it can become
a phobia, create physical, mental and spiritual changes ...
And control your life.
FEAR
ANTIDOTE
There
is one thing that can cure any type of fear ... All you have
to do is apply it liberally to the affected area (your mind)
and it will cure your fear. It doesn't have a fancy
technical or medical name, it's just God's good old
fashioned remedy ...
Rx:
TRUTH
Let me
explain. When fear strikes, it's because of negative or
frightening thoughts which can also cause physical
reactions. BUT,
if you would establish the habit of telling yourself thoughts of TRUTH,
during these attacks of negative thoughts ... You can avoid the
resulting fear.
Now, all of
this sounds very medicinal, but the Bible is clear ....

2 Timothy 1:7
For
God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of Love, and of a sound mind. |
This FEAR is not right or normal as mankind would have you
believe and accept.
Fear is
cousin to doubt. We doubt that we can handle whatever it is
that we fear. But we've just learned that God gives us
power, so what we need to do is turn to Him for the strength
that we need, to conquer fear. What's the opposite of
doubt???
FAITH
What is the source of FAITH?

Faith
cometh by
hearing,

Word
of God. |
So
FAITH is obtained by HEARING. And HEARING by the ...
WORD
OF GOD
What
is this WORD OF GOD?

John 1:1-3
In the beginning
was the Word,
and the
Word was with God,
and the
Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things
were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing
made that was made. |

And the Word was
made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
TRUTH. |
Soooooooo,
JESUS is the WORD OF GOD.
Now, let's
substitute "Word of God" with "Jesus" and see if it
makes more sense to you.

FAITH
is obtained by HEARING. And HEARING by JESUS ...
Another way
to look at this is to ask yourself, What is a word? It is an
expression of our thoughts. Therefore ... The expression of
God is Jesus in physical form which is shared in the Bible.

Jesus shared with us that He is the TRUTH

him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me. |
So Jesus is TRUTH ...
It is
Spiritual Wisdom and understanding that He has given us in
God's Word.
So we
must use TRUTH in God's Word to remove FEAR.
FEAR
OF THE LORD
Ironically enough, there is something called Fear of the
Lord, and if you possess this fear, it can eliminate all other
fears. Fear of the Lord is the utmost respect and Love of
Him.
The Bible teaches us that Fear of the Lord is the way to
obtain this Wisdom.
This TRUTH.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and
the knowledge of the Holy is understanding. |

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon
them that fear Him,
upon them that hope in His Mercy; To deliver their
soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. |

Proverbs 14:26-27
In the fear of the LORD
is strong confidence:
and His children shall have a place of refuge.
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,
to depart from the snares of death. |

Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the LORD tendeth to life:
and
he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be
visited with evil. |
Now
let’s talk about this type of FEAR …
This “fear” does not FEEL like other fears we may have
experienced. It is more of a reverence. The dictionary
defines the word "reverence" as …

A
profound emotion inspired by a deity; "the fear of
God" ……. Regard with feelings of respect; consider
hallowed or exalted or be in awe of; |
Sooooooo, if you fear (hold Reverence for) the Lord ...
He will bring you TRUTH, which in turn
will eliminate your fears.
But, how does one
discover the TRUTH about everything that they fear as to
overcome the fear?
Build your relationship
with Jesus Christ and He will, through the Holy Spirit,
guide you in TRUTH.
John 16:13
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, He will
guide you into all TRUTH ... |
Fear is
nothing more than a bad personal habit ... An idiosyncrasy. But
turning your fear over to the Lord and to choose to fear HIM
only brings forth the Faith
it takes to depend on Him to help you when you feel overcome
by these fears.

Proverbs 1:33
whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely,
and shall be quiet from
fear of evil. |
There
is a TRUTH you must know and it will calm your fears and that is
GRACE
...
Don't ever forget about God's Grace, because without it,
then a person would have something to fear, but our Father's
Grace is the key thing that takes away our fears and
replaces them with HOPE.
John tells us of the great Love
that God has for us, and that our Love for Him should
eliminate any fear.

And we have known and believed the Love that God hath
to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love
dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love
made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of
judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out
fear: because fear hath torment.
He that feareth is
not made perfect in Love. |
My friend,
put all your fears away, reach for the strength of God,
through Jesus Christ, at one with the Holy Spirit, to
obliterate fear in your life, with the wisdom of TRUTH.
