UNDE4R VARIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WE OURSELVES FIND
OURSELVES IN AS WE WALK THE CHRISTIAN PATH. LET US SEEK AND FIND THE TRUTH OF
WWJD TOGETHER, SHALL WE?
WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
This is a
question that Christians have been asking themselves and their fellow
Christians for two thousand years when they are confronted with a situation and
they don't know what to do. The real question is, when we
make our choices, can we truly say to ourselves and others,
"I did what I think Jesus would do," or do we ask the
question: What would JESUS do; and then
proceed to do what WE would do anyway?
Maybe the
problem is that we don't really know what Jesus would do, so
we just make a guess, taking all practical things into
consideration, and we make decisions based on what the world
has taught us. What you'll discover in this program, is that
maybe we're a little to hasty about the decisions we make,
and we should contemplate the question, What would Jesus do,
a little more carefully before we're so quick to act.
During this
program, you'll get a better perspective of how our Lord
reacted to different situations throughout His life, and you
can apply His teachings to your own life. Some of the things
Jesus did and taught, may not be what one would expect, so
it's important to get to know our Savior in order to
determine what He would do, and what we SHOULD do.
As you
know, Jesus was the son of a carpenter, and a common phrase
of carpenters is, 'Measure twice, cut once.' Perhaps in our
lives, if we apply this principle, we'll find that if we
measure our actions a little more carefully, we'll start
making better choices the first time, and we won't have to
go back and repair the messes we've made. As you practice
this more and more, you'll find that in your walk of Faith,
you will become more and more Christ-like and the Holy
Spirit will guide you to do the right thing.
Why Ask?
Why do we
ask the question, What would Jesus do? Because when we
become Christians, we become one with Christ. We commit our
life to Him. If we're dedicated to our commitment, He will
give us the strength we need to deal with whatever we face
in life. We depend on His strength, and as we do, we become
more conformed to His image, living the Gospel that He
taught us and anxious to do so. We're supposed to renew our
minds, and the new mind that we're supposed to acquire is a
Jesus-like mind. With that kind of mind, you know that you
are living in the center of God's will.
What Paul
is really telling us, is to think like Jesus thought ... or
do what Jesus would do. Well, the breath of God is in us ...
our new life, when we are reborn is a spiritual life, which
is directed by the Holy Spirit if we allow Him ... so, it
shouldn't be too hard to think like Jesus thought,
IF you really tune in to Him, but remember,
Faith is a verb ... It WILL take some effort to train
ourselves, to break old worldly habits, and become more
Spiritually minded.
One thing
which is necessary, is to learn what Jesus taught. Reading
the Gospel of Jesus is essential to becoming more like Him.
We have created many many studies to assist you in your
Christian walk, because even though you may have the best
intentions of reading the Gospel straight out of your Bible,
you may not be able to understand it as thoroughly as you
would like for many reasons.
The
medieval language of the 17th century, for instance (when
the King James Version was translated) may cause some people
to miss the spirit in which it was written. Some people also
get discouraged when they're reading and they don't
understand something, so they lose the spirit that they
started with, and everything after that becomes hard to
comprehend.
At any
rate, knowing Jesus is the most important aspect of a
person's life, and as I've said many times before, in our
day and age, it's very difficult to live a godly life in an
ungodly world. Sooooooo, our Christian Walk studies will
help you to find TRUTH, in today's world, and even more ...
To understand the Spiritual depths.
What Would
Jesus Do Christian Walk Study Guide. Below you will find
links to the various programs and studies that we have
created that will help you to apply the Word of God to your
life. By learning all you can, you will find it easier to
walk the Christian Walk of Faith, and your natural reaction
will be to do what Jesus would do.
The time it
will take depends on the individual and the Holy Spirit
presence within said individual. It was designed to be a ONE
YEAR program based on one devoting but a few hours a day.
There are also a few programs you can DURING your studies. All the studies are Bible
based, using the King James Version.
IF YOU
ELECT TO PERFORM THIS TASK ... YOU WILL POSSESS SPIRITUAL
KNOWLEDGE OF THE CHRISTIAN WALK WHICH FEW ARE AWARE OF. YOUR
NATURAL REACTIONS WILL BE TO DO WHAT JESUS WOULD DO
