What is the Word of God?
Or better asked ... WHO is
the Word of God?
Anytime God
is manifested to us, it is the Word of God.
The Bible is the
Word of God, and Jesus is the Word of God.

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the
Father, the
Word, and the
Holy Ghost: and these three are one. |

Understanding that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one
and the same, yet three different parts, let's take a look
at a couple of scriptures:

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning
God created the Heaven and the Earth. |

John 1:1-3
In the beginning
was the Word,
and the
Word was with God,
and the
Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things
were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing
made that was made. |
Now, let's
substitute the words "the Word" with "Jesus" and see if it
makes more sense to you.
THE WORD OF GOD BIBLE PHRASE IS NOT ONLY GOD'S WORDS OR JUST THE WORD
OF GOD BIBLE EXPRESSION, BUT RATHER THE WORD OF GOD BIBLE
WORDING IS ALSO A LIVING ENTITY.
THE WORD OF GOD BIBLE ENTITY IS THE PHYSICAL EXPRESSION OF GOD. WHO IS
THE WORD OF GOD BIBLE ENTITY? JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD.
In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and
Jesus was God. The same (Jesus) was in the beginning with
God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not
any thing made that was made.

made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
TRUTH. |
Jesus
testified that He was there in the beginning with God:

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee
before the world was. |

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given
me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my
glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me
before the
foundation of the world. |
Another way
to look at this is to ask yourself, What is a word? It is an
expression.
The expression of God in written form, is the
Bible, and Jesus is the physical expression of God.
John was a
very spiritual person, and as you can see, it was very
important to him that we understand that Jesus is the Word:

1 John 1:1-3
That which was
from the beginning,
which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled,
of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and
we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you
that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was
manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard
declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship
with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father,
and with His Son Jesus Christ. |
God
revealed the TRINITY from the very beginning:

Genesis 1:26
And God said,
Let US
make man in OUR image, after OUR
likeness ... |

Genesis 11:6-7
And the LORD came down
to see the city and the tower, which the children of
men builded. And the LORD said,
Behold, the
people is one, and they have all one language; and
this they begin to do: and now nothing will be
restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Go to, let us
go down, and there confound their language, that they
may not understand one another's speech. |
Who is
"US" ???
The Bible says "Us" and "Our" when God is talking.
"Us" and "Our" is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

To deny
that Jesus is the Word of God, would be like denying that
your body is part of YOU!
Of course your soul is really YOU, but your body is what
your soul is manifested by ... remember, you're created in
His image. Without your body, you couldn't speak or glorify
God to others. Likewise, Jesus is the Word of God,
manifested in the Bible (the Word of God), and in the flesh,
to glorify God!
Let me give
you an analogy to ponder on. What if you wrote a book, and
it was #1 on the Bestseller list. A TRUE story, about ...
YOU. After a while you decided to go to a book signing, but
some of the people didn't believe it was you, and they told
others that it wasn't really you.
How do you
suppose God feels when people don't believe that Jesus is
the Word of God?
Again, in the Old Testament
He makes it so clear ... even saying, Come close and listen!
It's never been a secret! I've existed all along!

Isaiah 48:16
Come ye near unto
me, hear ye this;
I
have not spoken in
secret from the
beginning;
from the time that it was,
there am I:
and now the Lord
GOD,
and
His Spirit,
hath sent me. |
This is why Jesus said:
We, as
humans have been taught by society to be so single
dimensional. We see the physical world but understand not
the Spiritual matters. We seem to have difficulty believing
concepts that make no sense to our limited way of thinking.
The answer is to broaden your mind's horizons ...
The
Bible is clear ...
GOD,
JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE THREE IN ONE
and
Jesus IS
the WORD of God.
