Real Evil Spirits

¹³ But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in Truth.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His Saints,

²¹ And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
²² And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
²³ And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
²⁴ And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

¹ And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
² That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
³ And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
⁴ There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
⁵ And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
⁶ And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

⁴ For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
⁵ And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Book of Enoch, Chapter 15, Verses 8-12

⁸ And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth,
⁹ and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin;
¹⁰ they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. {As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.}
¹¹ And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless
¹² hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.

Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech.

But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

And He asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

²² And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
²³ Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying.

The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

⁴³ When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
⁴⁴ Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
⁴⁵ Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

So the devils besought Him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

³² As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
³³ And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
