How to Play Hangman Games Online Rules

This Hangman game is much like any other hangman game. You know, sorta like the Wheel of Fortune game. The object of the free Hangman games, is to guess the free Hangman games answer by guessing at the correct letters that belong in the answer before the computer hangs you.

The topic of this particular free hangman game online is Countries and their Capital Cities. Each round includes the capital city name, and then on the next line, the country name. We also have presidential and Biblical Free Hangman Games online as well.

To play the game, simply:

  • Click or tap on a letter that you think is in the name of the Capital City and Country that the blank spaces represent. If you are correct and your letter is in the word, it will appear in the space where it belongs. If there are more than one of the same letter, all of that same letter will fill in at the appropriate spaces.
  • Notice that there are an apostrophe, a period and a hyphen provided, as some Capital Cities and/or Country names do contain these.
  • Each time you guess a letter that is not in the name of the Capital City and Country that you are guessing, a portion of the hangman will appear. Each time you guess a correct letter, the grey border around the letter you tapped or clicked will turn green, and each time you guess an incorrect letter, the grey border around the letter will turn red ... That way you can keep track of what you have already guessed.
  • You are allowed eight (8) misses before the man is hung and a "GAME OVER" message appears. If you guess the Capital City and Country before eight (8) misses, a "YOU WIN!" message appears. In either case, a button will appear, allowing you to "Play Again!"
